Jimmie Vaughan is a guitar blue's legend and is a humble man just like his brother Stevie Ray Vaughan which will always be in rememberance..Jimmie is sensational at what he does in life and that's marvelous..I'm happy I got to meet and hear the Vaughan's..incredible

Just found this video. If there is a way to get a message to Jimmie, let him knw that without him, there would have been no "other" and that's all that needs to be said. Love the influence of the jams he puts out.

Funny listening to Jimmy talk about muddy, because srv is my hero, and I happened to be from swva and played around the towns here in the 90s and met Bob Margolin who lived in one of the towns, and got to play with him. I listened to all the stories about him and muddy, and I was in awe just like Jimmy here, so that's my tie to muddy story

Truly a pure blues artist, a Texas gentleman, and an honest performer. I watched Jimmie (and Stevie) come into their own living in Austin from 68-89. The most entertaining groove anywhere is Jimmie and his band. You can listen all night and never get weary. Buddy Guy told me essentially the same thing one night when he said, "When I listen to Jimmie's CDs, I'm back in that place where I listen as someone who likes music, period." God Bless Jimmie. He is a treasure to true blues fans. --- Gator

Just read an interview with Jimmie where he discussed politics. He said he's not Democrat and he's not Republican. He said he believes in The Constitution and The Bill of Rights, and "Barbara Streisand can kiss my ass". That was a direct quote, BTW. Hilarious!

I wonder if most of the folks realize how great he actually is. So much fewer notes than Stevie and all. Stevie was a true stud and a flame and rest his soul, but Jimmie, Jimmie is the one. Real blues music.

Jimmy and SRV have influenced my love for guitar since the day I heard them both, but this interview just felt weird and uncomfortable to watch. Dave sounds like a therapist with his Dr Phil style of interviewing... Happy to see Fret 12 expanding their musical horizons towards other genres.
@Lobishomem9 жыл бұрын
+Alabama2830 I had the same feeling. I love Dave's playing but he seemed uncomfortable doing the interview. JImmy is a real natural. Had the pleasure of hearing him at Space. Thanks for posting this.

So what you got out of the interview, what you paid attention to, is Dave Specter's interview skills or the lack thereof.... I guess I was just listening to Jimmie, and what he had to say. Don't know what I was thinkin'....

I disagree with your statement. I liked the interviewer’s style. Too many times interviewers just ask tons of the same questions that are asked by everyone else. This guy got the real stories that we don’t t get to hear when the performers are bombarded with one question after another.

@juliusschwencke1425 жыл бұрын
@@TheInnerYouCAS_K ...that comment better be directed at Timothy McGinnis, because being a Kiwi I know Stevie enjoyed his time here and we enjoyed having him here. I guess if you know the full picture, then well and good. Somebody has to be the guardian of the whole truth, and nothing but the truth.
