Thanks heaps for the reaction and what a way to be introduced to John Farnham (Farnsey). Such a great duet with these legends, can’t better then that and then to throw in Diesel the guitar player takes it to another level. By the way Diesel is Jimmy’s brother in law lot of talent in that family

Love watching people discover John Farnham for the first time and your reaction was no exception. So now I have subscribed as well. . John and Jimmy are two of the heaviest heavy weights of the Australian Music industry. Both are loveable larrikins. And both have crazy powerful voices. Most everyone agrees the John is the best singer Australia has ever had, including Jimmy who along with most of the Aust industry voted John as the Singers Singer. I sure hope you will check out more from John as well as Jimmy. John's most famous song You're the Voice Or his cover of the Beatles Help as you've never hear it before. Live concert with the Melbourne Symphony. John's live performances trump his studio versions So always choose live when you can. Even this song with Jimmy is way better live 😉

The guitarist is Diesel (from Jonny Diesel and the Injectors) who is Jimmy's brother-in-law. Both of these artists chose family over international success, so are not as well known outside of Australia.

Love seeing someones first reaction to John, every song from the MSO concert is pure gold. They are both very diversified in their music journey as you would expect with 6 decades of music to their names. If you want to see how Jimmy was younger, watch Cold Chisel's cover of Wild Thing and for something different from John, try Gethsemane from Jesus Christ Superstar, Sydney, final night, it'll blow your mind. We are pretty loyal down here in Oz. You show us love and you get nothing but love in return.

John Farnham IS the top dog of singers in Australia. Even Jimmy admits this and sings John's praises. A better version of this song is at the ARIA (Australian Recording Industry Association) Awards. ALWAYS see and hear John Farnham LIVE as he is a consummate showman and soooo charismatic. He sings in over 20 genres, has been singing for six decades with top hits and albums, and only has the best singers and musicians in his band. He has lots of songs on You Tube to view.

So, if you love live raw talent you can't go past a memorial concert put on for the late Andy Durant RIP from 1980. Andy was only around 25 when he past away from cancer. A collection of entertainers from his own band, Stars, 3 of Col Chisel's line up including Jimmy Barnes, Ian Moss and Don Walker, Australia's queen of soul, Renee Geyer (pronounced Gay -er) RIP, Richard Clapton, Broderick Smith RIP, and of course Mick Pearling and Mal Eastick from Andy's band sang their hearts out as part of a memorial concert. Apart from Knocking on Heaven's Door a Bob Dylan tune, Andy wrote every song ( although for two he had others who contributed). Jimmy would have been around 24 years at the time.....here is a link to the full concert which hasn't been available on you tube for long. I've commented on the link already with each song and links to the starting time. I highly recommend Knocking on Heaven's Door. Have a great day. Enjoy 🎉🎉🎉 kzbin.info/www/bejne/rXKTi5yDftKJZ9k
