I think straight after this he belted out Amazing Grace with Vanetta and Lindsay. John's concerts can go for two and a half hours and his heart and soul go into every song. This song was a regular in his setlists. There's an even more amazing video from 2003 when he was 54 where he belts it out even higher. Although I have to say this is my favourite version. Nothing better than John in his prime belting out one of the best songs ever written. The man has no limits which is why we all respect and love him so so much

The irony is, Johnny Farnham had a song in 1967 called Sadie the Cleaning Ladie, us aussies mocked him a bit for that, then out of no where, John Farnham, released Whispering Jack, october 1986, and we all went nuts. To this day, i can guarentee you, some one here in aus has a song of his on their play list from that album.

John truly is one of the best male singers ever and deserves that the world give him the adulation his talent deserves. I believe he has been allowed to perform this song over many decades because Steve prestwich was the drummer for LRB when John was singing for them…. LRB also did this song too when they both were in the band…. So it’s Chisels song but also John has taken it as his own too
