The Australian Rugby League was going fully proffesional in the 80's. An incredibly popular product needed to go to the next level. A genius said "simply the best," captured the essence of the journey. They paid Tina a small fortune, but it was peanuts compared to the phenomenon it created. Adding Jimmy Barnes was the most natural next step. Whoever had the idea could never be paid enough.

Simply the best with Tina and Jimmy was a marketing move by Australia Rugby League to attract females to the game, it was a huge success, they song together at the Grand Final with a 80,000 crowd it was awesome, in Jimmy,s book he wrote it was a huge honour to sing with her, their voices are perfectly matched in ever way
