Jimmy and Tina Turner Simply The Best. His duet with another Aussie legend John Farnham When Something Is Wrong With My Baby, 5 of Jimmy's kids are in the business. His daughter Mahalia tours and sings with Joe. Check out Riding With the Kings. Joe started playing guitar at age 4. At 9, he was playing music professionally with people 20 years older than him. At age 12, he toured and opened for the great BB King. He has his own record company for blues artist. Check out Joe and Beth Heart, I'd Rather Go Blind , I'll Take Care Of You.

Joe Bonamassa and Jimmy Barnes are both deep rabbit holes worth exploring. Joe can sing too. Jimmy's son was on the drums in this session and his daughter was one of the backup singers that has worked for years with Joe's studio and road band. Unfortunately Jimmy's daughter was not shown in the video but she can be seen in many of Joe's other videos. She is featured in their official video of Riding with the King.

Jimmy is a legend - From early days with Cold Chisel from 70's to solo - he is still performing today - They have their own songs but a cover worth listening to live when they were young is 'Wild Thing' Cold Chisel - And then their own song 'Bow River' - just a taste for you

So we have a lot of awesome vocalists, who don't use studio tricks to sound good. Aussie artists sound better without the studio stuff, infact studio's have botched many songs when put onto records, tapes and cd's. If you can't sing live without studio help, then you didn't make it in Australia, simple as that

This was written by Jimmy Barnes band member Don Walker from Cold Chisel. After Don Walker got custody of his daughter he dropped her off at school and wrote the song.

This version is a re-imagining of Jimmy's old rock ballard that we all played at top volume in our cars forty years ago. I love both versions and this one is perfect for anyone who has followed his endless career from Cold Chisel to today. An Australian Icon and it seems his whole family has teamed up with Joe as there are a bunch of songs with them together. Mahalia doing Riding With The Kings with Joe is incredibel.

I am assuming you are American, and can’t believe that Joe Bonamassa is so unknown in his own country. Joe is one of the worlds wealthiest musicians ever..... all from music. At 12 yo he performed for the great B B King during a BB concert....... at only 14 yo he was BB’s opening act. He now tours the world playing to packed houses, but he owns the tour , performance, audio rights and film / video rights. He owns a guitar ranch where he teaches guitarists how to play the blues. ( phone him for lessons ) which includes his own recording studio and house band with back up singers ( which you just watched ) . He also owns his own record label to control all his recordings from start to finnish. And what was Jimmy doing there...... probably just visiting his daughter Mahalia who is one of Joe’s backing singers. Jimmy had already recorded this song years earlier in Australia, so I guess Joe just wanted to record it again with Jimmy and film it. lol
