Maybe not directly, but his anecdote about being in the audience of a show and trying to suppress his laugh to avoid attracting attention made it clear he doesn't put on a weird laugh deliberately.

@@junbh2 The anecdote could have been just an additional to a straight answer. (Or a lie) So no, he did not answered. Also he explained so many time that he was not born comedian. He just trained into it. Manufacturing an laugh can be part of it. And after a decade of training, obviously, the reflex will be the trained muscle not the natural one. You know, like a left handed person forced to write with the right hand. Because of training the predominant hand will be not preferred choice. So I still believe that he trained into it. If there will have been at least one other person laughing like him, I would have accepted that may be natural. But in half a century on this earth, he is the only one I know to laugh like a seal. Plus that in some conversation I have seen him with with a more natural laugh.
