Jimmy Case: Hard Man Of Football - Radio Solent interview Oct 2014

Former Liverpool great Jimmy Case gives an interview with Katie Martin on BBC Radio Solent, on the launch of his new book 'Hard Case'.
During his six years playing for the Reds, Jimmy's honours included 4 League titles, 3 European Cups, 1 UEFA Cup and a League Cup. He signed for Brighton in 1981, then went on to play for Southampton from 1985 until 1990, where he played alongside young talents like Alan Shearer and Matt Le Tissier.

There is something soulless and generic about bbc ‘ local ‘ radio ( constantly referencing world headlines or international affairs and world famous celebrities and how they affect us ) in Southern England which for me is unlistenable except for the football programmes which feature authentic people who actually played the game or are passionate about what they say. If the presenter makes no mention of his time at Bashley - a non league team in the Solent area , then I rest my case 😁.
