I remember in the 90s when everything was strong from the get go. No EDT,, elixir,intense,le parfum nonsense. U got a long lasting beast mode perfume from the gate. Ridiculous. Miss those days

I think perfumes were a lot stronger back then to mask cigarette odors

@@XxxX-cv7mh maybe but it's factual they were stronger. but after 2001 the FDA removed and banned ALOT of ingredients that made perfumes strong and long lasting and on top of that they were forced to reformulate with lesser than ingredients. That's why everything is Soo different. ME(middle eastern) can make perfumes with better ingredients for cheap bc they don't have those laws there. Even drugstore perfumes were beasts back then. I miss those days. It's hard for me. I feel designers are Soo watery ,generic and junk. I'm having better luck with Indie brands and indie niche brands. Even companies like dapper are great. Designers are not worth the money they charge.its robbery. Ur basically being tripled charged for smelly water. ..Ur better off spending a bit more for a niche Italian brand that has great performance and u can spray less. Ya know. And what's up with this kid never ever responding to his audience and he's a smaller channel??

Many ingredients have been banned, and perfumes now use more synthetic and less natural and hard to get materials which makes perfumes and their reformulations a lot weaker. I think the culture around fragrance has changed a lot, as well. Many people seem to favour ‘lighter’ and ‘modern-style’ scents these days, for prime example look to Jo Malone and other similar brands. And nowadays, wearing strong fragrances in public places has become more stigmatized, because other people might find the smell offensive / suffocating. The bigger issue… Companies also intentionally make perfumes weaker because they want people to buy more of their fragrances, so they release elixirs and intense versions of their scents because they know people will buy them.

As of your description to me it sounds a lot like the sofia vergara perfume "sofia". Is it?? Will smell this one when it arrives, jimmy choo perfumes are one of my fav lines❤

Are u kidding me?!?!? I WILL NEVER EVER EVER pay $150 for any designer perfume. They are getting insanely ridiculous!!!!! They should give us good performing perfumes form the gate instead of making different intensity flankers. Shut NEVER used to be like that. No designer perfume is worth that. U. Can buy niche with $150 and they PERFORM!! Most of the parfum, elixirs,intense or whatever are still not that long lasting. How bout these brands give us a good strong EDP from the get go like they used to do. Its a perfume. For $100 it should perform. Its ridiculous!!!

Agreed! I struggle to find designer fragrances I’m prepared to buy. I’m not in the US - take those prices and almost double it where I live. I’m 64 so I started buying fragrances in the 70’s. Even the cheap fragrances in those days outperformed what’s available in the designer realm today.
