Voicu Violeta I didn't say he forgot Nicole, I was saying he forgot key moments, like when she brought up him playing video games, the sweatpants he was wearing, etc. When she started telling the story, her liking him (which he didn't know at all) was part of the embarrassment, but he got more embarrassed by what she remembered that he forgotten about, until she brought it back up again ;)

sudarabajan22 The surprise was that they thought they were in different situations - he business meeting, she date. And yes, he contradicted her about the sweat pants, but he didn't about the video games...Nicole was just telling the story in an embarrassing way and he shushed her & dove under the desk. Btw, he was asked recently, at his book signing, about this happening and he said that the games came about b/c he had all kinds of tech & wires around the house and he explained to her what was the deal w/ them...so they remember it differently...she obviously was left kinda hurt/pissed off & was roasting him on the show...and he mostly let her b/c he recognized it was fun for us.

+Hi, Neighbor! All her stuff is like that! Well not the stuff about having cancer, that wasn't boring. But it's all super low-key but somehow hysterical. Somewhere here on youtube is a routine where she gets a solid ten minutes of laughter from *scooting a stool across the stage*. I've never seen anything like it. Just from timing and delivery, she had me in tears scooting this stool across the stage.

I think he just used to go out a lot, young guy in NY & considering his line of work, he probably had hundreds of nights like that...and if it was like 10y ago the outings probably blend in. If he would've been out of his mind during their outing, then I don't think Tig would be so surprised that he doesn't remember...and at least at the beginning of the night, during their shows, he wouldn't have been super drunk, but he doesn't remember that either. Also, he had the presence of mind to help her get out of the bar & find her a cab...doesn't sound as stupid drunk behavior.

I enjoy Jimmy even if it's all true about drinking and drugs. Hopefully it would not affect his kids. Jimmy is funny and genuinely nice. But, the beloved Johnny Carson away from his show was a raging drunk, very rude in public and mean. Also had 3 or 4 wives and was a poor parent. Jimmy is flawed but a good person and entertaining.

I gave Tig another try, watched some of her other stuff, since so many seem to like her, and I think I finally get it. You have to give her deadpan delivery time, but I think she's doing something like Garrison Keillor, the Prairie Home Companion. A humorist, not a comedian-- and sometimes just moving stories. Tough to describe what she does. I like Keillor's written work better than his broadcasts, come to think of it. I find him a bit too Midwestern folksy, live. Maybe my problem with Tig too. Think I'll check out what she's written.
