You want 4 reasons? Bergkamp, Van Nistelrooij, Kluivert and he never played for Ajax, Feyenoord or PSV. (and the same could be said to Roy Mackaay's situation in Oranje .. Holland had just incredible forward option in the day .). and ok, a 5th : He was more of a lethal counter puncher than to play high up in the opponents box in tight spaces. I guess he was more suited for the game Oranje played the past 10-15 years than in 2000. Great, but underrated (in NL) player.
