@@zechariahcameron3645 Not only AP, but Davante hit him with a gut punch when they signed him, saying he didn't agree with the direction of the organization on the very day of the signing. How's that for a vote of confidence from the guy who is supposed to be your number 1 target? Pretty shitty move by DA, if you ask me. Jimmy never had a real chance with that team and he was playing hurt from the get-go based on his comments to the media a couple days before the Superbowl. His foot hadn't healed completely yet from the offseason surgery. This offseason, he is fully healthy - a team like Denver or New England would be wise to pick him up at presumably a discount price.

@@sportsallday7663 and @JDilla65 I thought his play-calling was excllent until their 2nd drive of the 4th quarter, when he seemed to get tentative and got away from the running game a bit. I did have an issue with how conservative he was at the end of the first half (not calling a timeout to preserve more time for his offense after the Chiefs failed to convert their 3rd down, the imagery of John Lynch signaling timeout will stay with me forever). I think the Chiefs D, almost in desperation, just threw caution to the wind and began blitzing with abandon, which is a killer for play-action. Shanahan should have foreseen this as it's a common ploy by the Spags when he feels his defense can't stop the opponent.

@@WestCoastPlague No, the game was officiated very one-sidedly. I'm known amongst my group of game watchers as 'the objective observer' as I'll often argue with homer fans about calls. However, in this game, the favoritism towards the Chiefs was blatant and brutal and came at key points in the game. It kept the Chiefs in the game and then, yes, Shanahan did choke a bit in his play-calling near the end. Perhaps he was affected by the bad calls. Would be pretty hard not to be, if you feel you're playing against their 11 and 7 officials.
