Jimmy Herring sits down with Paul Smith

We teased you back in September with a short video of Jimmy Herring playing his NF3.
Here is a video of Jimmy giving PRS a 30th Anniversary shout out before he and Paul Smith test out a prototype amp with, "a magical," Private Stock McCarty Singlecut.
We even got them to take a break from playing to sit down, and catch up on camera. Enjoy!

Herring is like a cross between David Grissom and a little Eric Johnson, but is always his own voice and phrasing. What a musician, and what a (seemingly) humble person.

that private stock guitar is just beautiful. One day I must own one of those things if nothing more than to look at it every day. Pure art. will prs let any old civilian tour their factory? also, if you have more of jimmy's interview, PLEASE post it

Not sure if they do it routinely, but during the annual PRS Event, usually held in September each year, they open it up where you can visit each workstation and talk with the employees. It's a big deal and there are lots of great players and bands Paul brings in. I'm hoping Jimmy will be there this year, maybe with Warren and/or Derek. It's their 30th anniversary this year, so I'm expecting it to be over the top. You can check out their website for registration.
