I think if he were here today, we'd be talking about him in the same level as Clapton and Santana. A great guitarist who left us way too soon. RIP, Jimmy.

Agreed, Pal. We don't know what caused his mood swings he warned Paul McCartney about. His early life may have had trauma. People don't turn to drink and drugs when they're happy. 💔🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🕯️✝️🎸⭐

Jimmy was my classmate in Cumbernauld & a tich & very quiet, shyish really. He went down to London with his brother's band One In A Million for a test with Decca & cut a single. It was a bit rubbish & bombed, then later popped up in Thunderclap Newman for one of the best one hit wonder's. After we left school we never met up again as I joined the Army. Was gobsmacked when he joined Wings & he was their best lead guitarist of the various versions.

@Joy Stinson at the time he was just a mate & he played guitar. When he came back from London cutting his single, he said he had met R. Stones, nah we said. So next day he came with photos took of Stones. Gasp! If it had been Beatles, then Gasp Gasp Gasp!! But it was Decca, not Abbey Road. Even the Beatles went to school, but at the time they were Gods, so school was laughable, indeed! Sadly drugs took him, from a shy schoolboy to party boy that wasnt really him. If you Google my then school - Cumbernauld High School, Scotland, you can see more tributes of Jimmy. Rock On Joy to the World!!

Jimmy gave Paul great sounding, and a cool young attitude, in his playing! Paul never had as good a player like jimmy in wings , there was underlying competition between band mates, which makes a band good!

Love his guitar work, that Thunderclap Newman record is really underrated and his guitar playing is a BIG reason it's so great. Obviously Wings, and he's great on the Stone the Crows films... Best of luck with your project, it's gonna be great !!!

Jimmy McCullough chose his notes carefully. Paul McCartney heard it, just like everyone else does when they heard the Kid play like the Old Soul he was from the young age of a natural musician.

Mixing downers is lethal. He was drinking and took morphine. I read in a Paul McCartney biography, that two Italian girls kept coming up to give him envelopes, when in Wings. It said they contained drugs "stronger than cocaine".

@Joy Stinson I'm sorry your brainwashed beatles were the 1st boyband they were created they were a brand they were a tavistock creation. But since you prolly have never researched anything in your life. Talking to you is pointless pid is not a hoax I bet you believe everything that comes on the news. Of course we went to the moon I saw it on the tv I mean idiot box. Your the stupid one

@@@jeremyb5468 You really are full of piss and wind, lies and delusion. I don't know, what you're putting into your system, but you really should give up now. Strange that thousands of people saw the Beatles play, on the UK club circuit, long before they made it. Me included. Were you there, at those gigs, at that time? Did you go clubbing and dancing? If you weren't then you know SFA. The first boy band? How about The Four Seasons, The Four Tops, The Miracles, Frankie Lymon and the Teenagers, etc., etc., etc. , ad infinitum? A tavistock creation? A brand? No just the norm, of the time. Some schoolmates, and another mate, get together, after hearing the Shadows and Lonnie Donegan doing American music and reckoned they could do it, too. There were thousands of groups, just like them, all over the UK. Some were better - like The Beatles, who'd honed their craft in the Hamburg clubs and on the UK circuit. The major change was Ringo - the best group drummer in Liverpool - being brought in. I suppose that counts as creation? You're the one who doesn't research, btw, or you'd know all of this.

Ive always thought "Beware My Love" begged for a red hot guitar solo to really make it an outstanding ass kicking tune.Unfortunatly Jimmy didnt deliver (maybe Fauls fault).Ive always thought both versions of "Venus and Mars" shouldve been #1 hiits and "Magneto and Titanium Man" shoulda been bigger too."Juniors Farm" is 1 of my favs.Jimmy did well.Too bad FaULS COMPOSING ABILITIES TOOK SUCH A DIVE...WOULD LIKE HIM TOP PRODUCE MORE CLASSICS..
