Very cool... Having the major and minor patterns up while you were playing was interesting. I've never seen it explained like that before!

Wow! What a simple little thing that, once seen, can't be unseen. Connected many things I already had down but were separated only by my mind. Thank you.

Excellent lesson!! I shall be trying this in my next practice session!!! YOu can really tell how it works in those songs and gives them both a nice little change. It's almost like they are taking a step back when they go to the major getting ready to dig back in and taking the listeners along for a ride. Very cool.

Great video and explanation on mixing the scales. Also, killer examples of how it is used! There are so many guitar theory videos but there don't seem to be many that explain this concept, or show how to apply it to actual songs very well. Hope this gets a lot of views.

I never knew this. So does this work for all 5 positions the 3 frets apart? Think I will spend some time on this channel!
@12footchain2 жыл бұрын
I suspect it does, start with any minor pentatonic scale from any of the caged positions, slide down same scale shape 3 frets down and should give you the major
@jimsullivan3068 ай бұрын
did you play major over the one chord and minor over the 4 and 5 .
@12footchain8 ай бұрын
Kinda. On the lemon song it started l8ke that
@cruisemates4 ай бұрын
Umm - playing the A-minor pentatonic scale does not work over the V7 chord. B7 = B D# F# A, while Amin-pent is A C D E G A. Some notes in that scale conflict badly with the notes of the V7. C and G especially.
