Jimmy Page on his technique.

I uploaded this last year but it got blocked because it goes into the Dazed And Confused Super Show clip for about a minute, and that's a no-no apparently. So, trying again without it. There's still a couple seconds of it there, so fingers crossed. Anyway I know this is VERY short but I find it an utterly fascinating glimpse into the mind of the Master.
This was recorded from an MTV show called Guitar Greats...I don't have a date on it but it would have been late 80s according to the very funny tee shirt since that scandal was 1988.

Absolutely. Absolutely brilliant. He's way downplaying himself here, but back then the EVH 'tapping' thing was all the rage, and people were saying crap about Page in trying to compare the two. Of course EVH is phenomenal, but so is Page, in his own right. There's a reason my record collection was full of Led Zeppelin and not Van Halen. People with depth KNOW the difference between incredibly-dexterous-finger-flying, and SOUL.
