I am always struck by just how soft-spoken Jimmy Page is. Hard to believe this quiet voice is behind the greatest guitarist of all time and all those hard core rock riffs.

The first time i ever actually heard him talk was when i saw The Firm in 1984. I mean, being a Zep fan all that time, i had NEVER heard him talk. I don't think people who have the internet now realize how different things were back then. I was astounded just to hear his voice. Now, hearing all of these things on here is so cool. Back then? I think it all just added to the mystery.

Jimmy Page is so intriguing. He seems to be such a calm, quiet, particularly smart, serious, velvety gentleman, but he also has that really dark, wild, mysterious, passionate, "led zeppelin" side. His personality is trully fascinating and makes him extremely attractive ;)

I’m a teen girl who often has night terrors, and wake up drenched in sweat having panic attacks. There’s not really anything that completely calms me down. But this interview does because Jimmy’s voice is so soothing and sweet. I listen to this a lot when I get super anxious in the middle of the night and it helps me get to sleep, so thank you very much for posting this masterpiece. Sweet dreams everyone 💕❤

I don't know how old you are. I will be 52 soon. I remember Stairway as a very small child, I guess at 3. But I did not get to discover Zeppelin fully until after they were done, in 1983 or something when I was actively learning guitar. Later, my dad picked Stairway as my Mom's funeral song. Still loves it. But never was aware of it when it was new, even though I was. ?

He listened to his songs every day, I listened along. My dad thought I was going to be a guitarist or drummer...my family knows I want STH played at my funeral when I cross the bridge. I was born with them, I want to leave with them...

Jimmy realized that Led Zeppelin’s contribution to world music was assured to be as historical as what Mozart’s work was/is. So, he worked continually for decades to accumulate, catalogue Zeps works...to basically ensure their entire body of work would be curated forever. It’s also why he never receded into the background of life and music. He availed himself to all the media types, documentaries, etc so their history came from the source. How proud he is of what they created. I was 14 when I first heard them. With my taste already being true-rooted rock and R&B (blues foundation), I was literally absorbed in awe and stunned with new emotions and then realized how important music truly is. I had no idea then about the lyrics at that age. So, every year of listening to them, I was continually given new surprises as I matured. In my late 60’s now, I can stumble upon a lyric or a sound that still manages to astound me. The top two bands (Zeppelin and Pink Floyd) were so pioneering...with two completely different genres...they remain the top two. So many GREAT musicians soon followed due to the influences of them both, realizing rock was now no “fad”. Because of Zep and Floyd, rock went from trendy in late 50’s to a dead serious and eternal genre...left in the hands of all the future geniuses musicians.

His excitement towards young creative musicians following the level of innovation Led Zep showed is so interesting. I think he would probably be disappointed. That period of music between 1966-76 really was the golden generation.

“The Song Remains The Same” that live DVD opened me up to a whole new world (& an old one) when I was a teenager. It’s what got me started playing guitar to only realize all the songs of my youth that were stuck in my head was Zeppelin. The music defined & was the score of my life.

I was thinking the same thing. He kind of did that with the Led Zeppelin DVD. I really wish he would remaster some of the old soundboard recordings. You could get them on some bootlegs but they are ridiculously expensive if you can find them. Or perhaps release the live videos of Albert Hall, Earl's Court, Seattle '77 or Knebworth. They would be sure to sell millions!

I hope he can work on the materials he has during the years of zeppelin/yardbirds and release more live albums instead of making that silly "autobiography". I mean, since he always empathizes that music is which really matters, why he think it is more meaningful publishing pictures of himself and his fancy clothes than putting more effort into music? I believe people would be more gladly paying for albums rather than a old man's memorial.
