I've just compiled a playlist of my favourite Blackmore tracks, currently past the 50 mark yet it has not included one of his so called definitive/ classic tracks. Being a fan of both, Blackmore's eclecticism outweighs Page. Page was drug addled in the 80s and hasn't produced anything half decent since 1993s collaboration with, ironically a Blackmore protege. Blackmore's post 80s output although at times divisive and workman like has yielded some genuine classics.

Both are great guitar players. Page was often sloppy, missing notes, though maybe a better blues player. Blackmore was very precise even when fast and plays most genres with a high level of accomplishment.

Now that dosen't mean that between the 10 studio albums that they released that they didn't sell a total of say 10 or 20 million records, maybe they did🤷‍♂️. But they not in the record books for sales for sure. They did not make the the top 25 best selling rock albums of all time with ANY of their albums. And since #25 sold 12 million copies, its safe to say that blackmore's night never broke the 10 million mark with any of their records...As I mentioned in my original comment, I'm not trying to take anything away from Richie as a guitarist or any of his bands talent...I was simply disputing your comment about selling 10s of millions of records....Its a huge accomplishment and they were never that big...btw couldn't find any numbers on there actual records sales...would be interested in knowing thou.....

Well blackmore has taken inspiration from others and sound very familiar, page ripped his heroes off as well as plant, funny enough I like the original zeppelin tunes more then the ripped of stuff with the exception of dazed and confussed

Both are awesome, greatest guitarists ever. Improvisation, feelings, technique, incredibles riffs, magnificent solos. Jimmy - impossible to imitate, impossible to duplicate Ritchie - often imitated, never duplicated They had different styles. I love Ritchie... but my favorite guitarist is Jimmy... forever

Awesome Guitarists- but the most best Players for me worldwide are Two other Man: Martin Lancelot Barre and Mike Oldfield. O.k. - Barre plays Blues, Rock/ Folk ( from Jethro Tull)and Oldfield plays for Example very good Flamenco ( Tubular Bells 3), and Rock, Ambiente- Chillout Lounge, Klassik Orchestral ( Musik from the Spheres)- he can play everything. And not to forget: Mark Knopfler and Eric Clapton. I mean: All this Guys are amazing including Page and Blackmore
