I was fifteen when I first heard Jimmy Reed, 1954 before Rock and Roll, all the teenagers in a white neighborhood loved it.. We played it at all our parties.. Tacoma Washington

Thanks! I wish there was more film of him and his guitarists to study. There is only one that I know of - a thing he did on a houston TV station - pretty drunk it looks like. kzbin.info/www/bejne/eJm1i5uXbLp_jck

I bought the same Joe Pass Epiphone in California at Dusty's guitar Kingdom $2,800 plus tax in 1987 before I even knew about Guitar Center!! Guitar Center has them right now for about $850 is that about what you paid for it

+Nick Florent Thanks! To me, the Jimmy Reed/Eddie Taylor stuff is among the best ever recorded. It's so simple yet filled with creative variations.

Wrong mate sounds naff as your adding stuff jimmy didn't play and wrong type of guitar for jimmy reed
@hughcameron Жыл бұрын
Can't agree it's naff. It sounds good and the guy clearly loves the music. You can play it on any guitar. You are right the lead lines are, of course, Eddie Taylor who I was lucky enough to see on a tour with Doctor Ross and John Wrencher and I can't remember who else.
