She certainly was and also an interesting and sympathetic person no character in Boardwalk Empire is allowed to be happy however! That isn't a criticism it was a great series with much to enjoy

I don’t understand her character. It always seemed like Jimmy and her loved each other but then she cheats on him twice when he leaves. She says it’s because she’s lonely but why just uh. Did she love him?

I know, feels like Angela and Jimmy's actors were out of synch with the actual script they were given, they are way more affectionate with each other then Nucky and Margaret were even in season 1.

She fell in love with Mary when he had left her and only started seeing Mary again when he left her a second time. I wouldn’t call that cheating. Especially since he was sleeping with Pearl After they were married he cheated with tons of women and she cheated with one woman. Did she love him? I think she had a love for him in the beginning, but I believe she was a lesbian, rather than bisexual. Over time she didn’t like who he became but still had a little love for him which was shown in this scene

I think they had to kill her because they were gonna take Jimmy out of the show, and probably they didn’t know what to do with her character and they just added more drama, who knows 🤷🏻‍♀️
