Jimmys best chance to win the worlds in 92 and 94 ,should have won in 92 and in 94 that final frame he got his chance but the pressure got to him in 91 in the final the first session cost Jimmy, he tied 11 each for the rest of the final from being 7 0 down

I think Jimmy would have won a world championship if he had not partied so hard. He missed too many balls against the greats like Hendry and Davis.

Jimmys best time to win a WC was in the 80s before Hendry started to impose himself on the Snooker circuit , he had the beating of Steve Davis in the 80s but his off the table lifestyle got in the way of his snooker , all the one time winners who won a WC were 100% dedicated to Snooker eg Doherty , Parrot , Johnson , Ebdon , but no White . When Foulds first came on the scene he had WC written all over him he got in trouble for taking Beta Blockers and it was pretty much all down hill for him . Jimmy was very lucky to win this match it didn't bode well for the final against an inform Parrot .

He never had the beating of Steve Davis in the 80s, he lost all the big matches to him World Final, UK Final, etc. Davis was just simply better and had a better all round game. Most of White's losses in 80s were to Davis in World Championship's and UK Championship's, he had atleast 10 occasions to beat Davis in these big matches and failed to do so. Whites best chance was 82 could of beat Reardon in final, had he not missed with rest vs Higgins 15-14 up allowing Higgins to make that famous 69 break. 91 he could of beat Parrott in final, but Parrott had a godly first session so nothing White could do about that, and of course the two infamous finals vs Hendry in 92, 94. I like Jimmy White alot and I wish he'd won a world title. Him and Ding are for me still best players not to win it. But White never had beating of Steve Davis.

​@@pyrrhicvictory6978i agree. Whites record against davis is everybit as bad as his record against hendry is. Steve davis has said a few times that the version of jimmy white that hendry faced in the 90s was better than the jimmy white he was up against in the 80s.

The final where Jimmy lost 10 frames in a row against Hendry having been in total control of the match was the real sickener he was never the same again

@@gerryryan every single time he looked like winning it his opponents played some of the best snooker of there life wrong place wrong time 1992 I agree he should of won 1994 I don't think anyone expected him to win that but he was so close again

Jimmy White is not very bright and his sight is slight good in night so he decide to marry his bride on the side and that's all right
