The interview with the players at the end of the match is gold. Even in victory, Stephen Hendry lived in Jimmy's head for free.

Shocking that this tournament used to be called the Masters warmup event even though it was a ranking tournament and most of the last 32 could not compete at the Masters.

2:43:00 mentioning how that was the 1st loss in a 36 game unbeaten run for Stephen. Phenomenally Stephen would also go 36 matches unbeaten in the world championships at the crucible theatre winning 5 in a row and forever being remembered as the king of the crucible 👑

Not that unimportant a meeting. It was a ranking final after all. Hendry never seemed to win many of those ITV tournaments at the time. Most of those events on ITV counted towards the rankings.

take a look at this shot choice from Jimmy and tell me why these are the kind of shot choices that never won him a world title and probably one of the reasons why he only won 9 ranking titles 35:25

Considering snooker is about potting balls on a table, it's been reasonably good prize money since the 80's. Snooker prize money can't be related to sports where risk of personal injury, or even death is a greater risk. Top 16 players generally turn out to be millionaires so it's about right. Excessive money in sport just spoils everything and only leads to greater corruption.
