Miranda co-wrote this song with Jon Randle and Jack Ingram. Miranda was supposed to sing a different song that night on the award show. She knew Blake was going to be sitting in the front row so she told the band they were changing the song to Tin Man. It was a wonderful performance I really don't understand why this song was not more popular

I’m not a country fan but I remember this song performance. Very emotional. Great reaction and how you expressed the meaning. When I first saw it, I thought it was to Blake. I THINK, he did not stand, when she received her well deserved standing ovation. Nice video!

She was slated to sing a song with her whole band called "We Should Be Friends" and she switched at the last moment. I had seen her live do this as her Encore in NH in 2017, so I already new it was going to be chillingly beautiful.

This is one of the things about real country music...it's real, it's simple, and relatable. A few others I'd recommend is Tyler Childers - Nose to the Grindstone, Zac Brown - My Old Man, Chris Stapleton - Daddy Don't Pray, Brad Paisley - When I Get Where I'm Going, Matt Stillwell - Hey Dad, and Kenny Chesney - There Goes My Life. Thanks for the great content!

I grew up listening to country when I was a kid in the 60s, real country. Waylon ,George Jones, Merle that crew. Grew older ventured into hard rock and metal, jazz, pop all over. Always return to country when I go see bands live. No hiding, no tricks and just straight up talent. That was a great vocal performance. Nothing over the top just pure emotion. It sells you feel it. Listen to this song 20 times you feel it every time

Many people have already answered, but yes, it was shortly after the divorce from Blake. She is happily remarried, to someone NOT in the industry. This acoustic performance was absolutely killer! I love Miranda, and I have just started listening, sometimes, to Blake. I do like his 2 most recent large hits, I honestly wish I didn't. I do not like him as a person, though. That's just me. Thanks for the reaction

So this is way late to the party but it always breaks my heart thinking about their divorce and Blake's relationship with Gwen Stefani because Miranda was such a No Doubt fan. When I saw her the first time, before she and Blake were even a thing, she played two No Doubt songs from Tragic Kingdom.
