You two are just adorable AND fun, fun, fun, to watch.I really wish a week was only one day, o.k maybe two days, because by seven days I just can't wait to see you again! You did a wonderful job filming the Devil's Bridge and the mud....yuk! Natalie, your hot dogs could sell for 7.50 each, they looked so good. Open a window by the stove and hang out a sign, You'll see! Take care and God bless until we see you again. Louise

I love southern style hot dogs (NC) and I am somewhat particular. Ideally a hot dog must have chili, mayo(Dukes), mustard(French ), relish. and of course A STEAMED OR TOASTED ON A GRILL BUN and an all beef wiener. However, I have enjoyed Chicago style, etc. Natalie your dog creations look delicious. Advice from a very old hiker: get at least one hiking pole or stick or a used ski pole to give you a third leg. Ski shops in the off season usually sell used ski poles at a substantial discount. Get one that is beefy. An adjustable pole can work better in some situations. Mud, snow, water, leaves in the fall, downhill hiking, water crossing and snakes, and off leash dogs can all be a hazard. I have been saved many times. 2 sticks can be even better. Also if you hike early in the morning in spider season, they can be used to knock down webs . CONTINUE TO HAVE FUN.

First, thanks for the great content. You guys are getting better with each post. Now for the real reason I'm commenting. When making fancy hot dogs...Hold your knife at a shallow angle to the hot dog. Cut into the dog about one third. Roll the dog, cutting a spiral along the length. If you fry them (or boil) the spiral opens up making a fancy curly cue dog. Good for holding condiments. Good luck and be safe.

Way back in the Elder Days, I was sent to LA for a company training class. It was 90 degrees at the hotel, but 10 miles north and maybe 2 miles up in the San Gabriel mountains there was still snow on the ground. One of the guys in our group was from India, and had never even seen snow. We filled one of the hotel coolers with snow and had a snowball fight at poolside. :-)

You’re discovering how many different Arizonas there are. In the winter we can get snow down as low as north Phoenix where you guys hiked before. Once you get above Sedona you enter the largest pine forest in the lower 48. Have fine if you have time go to Jerome very interesting city, plenty of walking.

Hot dogs are the best invention. Even though they may consists of *mystery* ingredients. 😀. The Kraft MC is the best. If you ever want to prepare a quick version of this combo., boil cut hotdogs, (cut to look like round wheels), along with the mac noodles, (same time), drain the pan and do your usual Kraft prep.. {Adding a small amount of pre-shredded (bagged) store purchased cheese, will pep it up also. There are plenty more modifications, such as a little sour-cream. (Add-ins, mix in very small amounts, other wise you will lose too much of the original Kraft taste and texture)}. Happy trails, you both are the best.
@JimmyandNatalie2 жыл бұрын
That sounds really good! We've done a slight variation of that with Kraft MC and ground beef to make beefaroni.
