when my family and I sit down to watch TV together we always look for people who do not cuss in videos. thank you Jimmy & Natalie . it is really hard to raise teenagers to act right.

Y'all have a great channel here. Of all the build series on KZbin and being a carpenter myself, I appreciate the reality of this series. It's very authentic. I haven't been able to say that about the majority of build series. Y'all continue your safe travels across the west.

They say: Tea brings out the wood . Old tea bags, run over the wood. (Welcome to give it a try). What about an outside fold up table. Fits to the side of the bus. Will match the doors. Good work with the doors. Regards

That’s beautiful! I love it. They say imitation is the best form of flattery. I love your idea. I don’t like seeing the road out of the corner of my eye while driving. I used magnets to hold up a piece of material. This is wonderful. Thank you

Thanks! ❤️ When we first bought the bus we had to drive it the 8+ hours home with those bottom two windows missing. It was a little scary to see the interstate road flying by with no protection… plus it was in the winter so it was freezing!! 😬

As a school bus driver, when driving a bus, the bottom windows really helps. I wonder how that’s going to work. I’m excited for the 2 of you! I plan to purchase land and putting tiny house on it for each of my children for when they’re ready to leave the nest or is getting ready to move out on their own. When I was younger my family had a bus they traveled in for vacations. I plan on making an RV out of the bus for my travels as well. I think this is a great thing you both are doing. I’ve already seen your latest video. You have a new subscriber !

I was watching your most recent video when I noticed the “barn” doors . I have seen this particular design element in several different ways but it’s the first time I’ve ever seen it done like this. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it!! I’m not able to build out my own bus right now (undecided between skoolie and shuttle bus) but since “imitation is the sincerest form of flattery” I hope you don’t mind if I add it to my list of things I want built into my bus. Unfortunately I don’t have anyone handy to help me with my project but I’ve heard there are companies who will allow you to invest sweat equity and reduce the cost that way. Sorry about the breakdown and hope by now you are back on the road again. And that repairs didn’t cost too big of a fortune! Many happy and safe travels. Vaya con Dios!

Thanks so much!! ❤️ And of course! If we see another bus driven down the road with similar doors we'll make sure to give you a wave! 😊 Hopefully you can find a good company to help you out with the build! I don't know any personally but I have certainly seen other people go that route and it works out really well. 😄 Best wishes and good luck to you!!

It's great that you could leave your jobs to work full time on this. I find myself working 2-3 hours a day after work every day for myself. I'm a very fast worker, but I still wish I could do what you have done. Regarding the doors on these model buses, they are among the worst doors built for thomas buses in my opinion. Mine are barely hanging on, and not sure what to do with mine, maybe you can offer a suggestion. I do love the wood paneling you did, adds lots of good character. I love my glass though. I'm on team windows when it comes to the door because I enjoy looking down at the floor while driving and being able to see low. I know people want privacy and block the view and that's fine. I may do what you did with paneling but only on the edges like a trim and leave the glass in the middle. I'm not sure though.

What type of lock did you use for the door? Looks like a chain lock but idk why you'd use that..
@JimmyandNatalie3 жыл бұрын
The chain lock was there when we bought the bus, but we also thought it was a strange choice. We will probably replace it with a puck lock at some point

Just gotta say, that may not be the best idea. I drove highway tractors for 30 plus years. The better you can see the right side of your vehicle the safer you’ll be. Little cars have a real bad habit of driving in your blind spots.
