Mate, what a bloody ride. I still can't believe you pulled it off. From bleached haired shed dweller to Praga Cup Champion. You know, us sim racers love what we do, and alot of us dreamt of being in a real race car. Alot of that comes from the times we spent with family i think, watching racing together when we were kids. To watch you get the opportunity to do it for real has been a real pleasure. Not an ounce of jealousy or envy, but a massive amount of pride from me, a random bearded person on the internet. Winning the Indy 500 on iRacing that time and seeing what it meant to you, how events coincided then and how emotional it was, you only ever really went upwards from there. It started from those times. Not 2 years ago, but all the years you put your heart and soul into turning a wheel and pressing pedals in your shed. That Indy 500 when you just turned up and showed Americans how to turn left, those endurance races, putting the hours in, starting a KZbin channel so that us ballbags can tag along on your races. You earnt every second of this. Congratulations Jimmy

Hi Jimmer. I've been watching your stuff for a few years now and I've enjoyed it greatly. Your enthusiasm for your passion is infectious, and people can sense it easily through your videos. Even for folks who don't watch racing, you're an entertaining host. I've never commented before, but I wanted to take a moment to share how much watching your transformation from sim racer to racing driver has inspired me. It's not every day that you get to watch, bit by bit, as someone makes their dreams come true before your eyes. You have a complete visual record of your ascension from shed-dweller to a championship-winning racing driver. This is no mean feat. In fact, it was a very brave thing: you not only fought hard through trials of all kinds to achieve your goals, *you placed the record of your struggle online for all to see.* All your mistakes, your flubs and your punts, your family troubles, all the obstacles were shared with us, your viewers. That kind of vulnerability is testament to your character. All this is to say: you inspire people. I wonder if you understand how much. Your journey is just beginning, and I'm grateful that I've witnessed a portion of it. Keep going. We're with you.

These guys drove a crab across the line in 1st to win a championship. Absolutely amazing! And to think, I wouldn't even know who this Broadbent guy is if we didn't share a love for being desktop racers. I always felt that a racer is a racer, and if you're good driving through code, you're good driving full stop. Jimmy has proved as much in 2 years of racing. I can't imagine how much you've heard it up to this point, but I'll say it again for all of us. We're so proud of you, shed boi! You're a champion!!! I thought seeing you on a sports broadcast in the US, racing against F1 drivers during the pandemic in the virtual world, was really something. Someone I really want to see succeed is rubbing shoulders with the celebrities of the sport. Well, now you hold a title that many of those drivers have yet to accomplish in any form of racing. Whos cuttin onions in here lol. Been an honor to watch you grow from a young boy in a shed to a full fledged champion of a lad, thanks for letting us tag along buddy. Wish i was born somewhere with more motorsports lol. Congrats buddy, you guys deserve it.

The fact that you went from sim racing to this is crazy so well done to you and the team. The championship was well deserved.

Absolute fucking legend. It's been amazing watching you evolve throughout the years. From watching you play in your shed to winning a championship in real life, it's amazing what's possible if you put your mind to it. People say it alot, and it sounds super corny, but never give up. We're right beside you all the way, jimmer.

Not gonna lie, mate: this shit got me misty in no small way. It's been so amazing to see you come from a man in a shed driving a diesel beast around the green hell and doing alright in sim, to qualifying barely behind a formula 3 driver. I trust and also hope to god that you get another season in the Praga or another car with Gordy. Much Love, G!

So happy for you guys! It's amazing how many things can go wrong, even in a race where your main rivals got into trouble your car has some mysterious, unexplainable suspension issue that threats not only to take the win away from you but is also a clear DNF risk! I just hope to se more real life content and see you racing in anything, best of luck for the future Jimmy! I was surprised there was no more details on that bent wishbone, it was hilarious looking at the images during the stream Jimmy did a few days after the race. Hilarious when looking at the sausage kerb and scary when looking at the damage...

It's lovely to say that ANYone who loves simracing can go and do it for real, but it's only realistic to point out that not EVERYone will... so those of us who won't or can't align those stars and make it happen are riding along with you Jimmer! Keep doing it for the gamer nerds and I'll keep admiring your work. You deserve all your success.

This has to be one of the most inspirational videos I’ve ever watched. Going from living in a shed to becoming a championship racing driver really does show if you put in the work you can achieve your dreams. One day I’ll get into a real race car
