I think Apolla makes good scooters, but honestly this is the first time I think they finally hit the nail on the head, within its segment they got this one the most right,.....the right pricing, they didn't waste money on a disc brake where it wasn't needed, allowing them to offer it at a cheaper price, front suspension, above average range for its segment, above average ride quality for its segment, they picked the right place to splurge by adding the self-healing tires......low maintenance scooter, good ride quality, good range for its segment, I think this will be their sales leader within their line-up.

Great review Andrew and Jimmy! I will likely pick one of these up eventually for my wife's San Francisco commuting. She loves her E-Twow GT but I want her to have something that has greater IPX rating and pneumatic tires for better wet weather grip. She is fine on the E-Twow GT (even in the rain). The GT can also hit 25MPH and is much lighter. She has to transport the scooter up and down stairs and there is a big difference between 28lbs. and the nearly 50lbs of the Go. The self-sealing tires of the Go look great and I like the everything about it except for the non-folding handlebars. It won't fit in the storage areas on a train or my tall locker at the gym. Regardless, I still want to get a Go for her eventually as her rain commute scooter but I need her GT to stop working which is very unlikely. She has well over 5000 miles on it and it still going strong. I have just had to change the tires out, replace the drum brake pads and replace the brake cable wires when needed.

Great review--thank you! My previous scooter experience was on rentals, the Lime in particular, but I bought the 2024 Go. Go is faster & quicker than the 2024 Lime, but the Lime is smoother, more comfortable, and more stable. The Go wheels are tiny for portability, but it’s a bumpy ride and not very comfortable. The wheels take literally five strokes from the Joe Blow bike pump. The Go won’t fit in my WRX sedan trunk, unless I leave the trunk open. It’s very tight. The Go fits in the back seat of my car but it takes the full length of the seat. I’m not sure if the City or Klima would fit on the back seat. The Go fits easily in our Impreza hatchback, and it could easily hold two The deck of the Go is a bit cramped and I find myself shifting my feet around frequently on a one hour ride. The Go climbs small hills well, and large hills slowly. I live in the mountains. Battery drains quickly for 195 pound rider at mostly full speed, but it lasts a long time at more comfortable speeds. Dot Matrix display needs trip odometer and clock. Definitely room for improvement on the display. I don’t like it. Quad phone mount is useful but I don’t like fiddling with my phone. Excellent production quality & shipping Unit arrived from Best Buy in two days, perfect shape Very good help desk response over text & email Good printed documentation for setup Decent smart phone app for settings, but could be simplified. Good assembly video on KZbin. Easy & exciting setup. I never want to be a scooter mechanic and Paul @Electric Scooter Review scored the Go 9.2 out of 10 for maintenance. This was a big factor in my purchase. I like the scooter but wish for longer range and a smoother ride, without sacrificing portability. I want it all! Now I’m thinking I’d go with electric bikes if I had the choice again.

I am a big, big fan of a regen brake lever. You can do lots of your braking regen only. If it’s predictable, non emergency braking, it’s the best way to go. I wish electric vehicles in the commuter line would focus on being legit water proof to all rain. You’re asking people to rely on it to go to work or places they need to be, they should be able to do that without worrying if it’s raining. If it’s raining you can wear some gear to keep you dry, but a commuter device should be able to do it no matter what.

@MrYepz7 ай бұрын
Single braking system is a deal-braker, pun intended....the regen braking is nice, but if a truck blows a red light, and I need to stop, yesterday and it doesn't, the next option is jumping off, how wouldn't I be killed or seriously injured?....Lack of stopping power can mean death, I love the scooter, looks great, but I'd feel like i wouldn't have full control, not if you can't stop quick, these are dangerous toys to begin with, and 1 brake...is just stupid, charge another 200 dollars and put proper brakes on the thing, and also include the regen!

The top latch is a sharp metal piece that could hurt the rider when unfolding in a crash accident. Wish it had 10” tires instead of 9”. But other than that it seems like a great general purpose scooter.
@chaxologist20248 ай бұрын
10' won't make a world of difference over 9' in terms of performance and safety. The dual suspension is what does the trick in dampening rough road conditions. Besides, that would defeat this scooter's purpose for portability and ease of storage as a larger frame is needed to accommodate 10' tires.

I think your wrong about the regen breaking. I just bought mine recently and it works better than the drum breaks. The turn signal light on the Niu KQi 300x is much better, with the lights showing front and back and side is made of rubber to avoid this exact problem of breaking. The latch and release mechanism on the KQi is also better, so is the stem latch, the whole thing is better except for lack of power and dual suspension.
@Tooradj4 ай бұрын
Segway Ninebot Max G2 has a better turn signal as well and it is less expensive. It came out before Go so it is surprising that Apollo came out with subpar design after that. They probably had contract with supplier already and could not miss the release day. I would not be surprised if they fix it on the next version of the Go.

Despite all its niceties, the main issue with this scooter is the lack of overall versatility due to limited range. With reviewers seeing 14 - 19 miles max, with at least one reviewer cruising at 20mph until it would no longer sustain, which is fairly unimpressive. Apollo used 30 x 21700 cells in 10 series, 3 parallel. Had they simply gone with 40 cells in 10 Series 4 Parallel, it would have transformed this scooter into one of the most versatile units in scooter history while not giving up any of it's other fantastic attributes. Adding 10 cells would add less than 2lbs to this unit, even factoring in a slightly deeper battery tub. I wish they'd make a "max" version with 40 cells and 2-3" wider handlebars so that there was room to add an accessory or two... lights, bell, etc. I love everything else about the this scooter but the range is an issue compared to its competitors from Niu, Segway, VMAX and others.

@@femacampetiquettefordummie6979 You're overthinking too much. The Apollo Go scooter is "overbuilt" because it is built to last for everyday use in any weather and road conditions without having to worry about maintenance anytime soon. @@chaxologist2024 It’s actually a bonafide question about the safety of the Apollo Go scooter. I am GENUINELY concerned for the people in my family who will be riding my Apollo Go scooter. Will myself, or someone in my family risk being injured...all because I thought that I could bunny-hop my Apollo Go off of curbs...and there wouldn’t be any negative/catastrophic failures to the scooter.
@chaxologist20248 ай бұрын
@@femacampetiquettefordummie6979 If you bunny hop everyday, then yes. You will eventually wear out the suspension and damage the components if you abuse it so many times in this manner. If you do so, you have to take it to monthly maintenance and you'll be fine. Nothing is indestructible. Even mountain bikes require maintenance every 3 months or so after so much jumping. However, normal, intended everyday usage like hitting regular bumps and some potholes as well as riding it through heavy rains will be fine and your scooter can go on for months before requiring maintenance such as tightening and clean ups.

This explains how their scooters can take much more abuse compared to other scooter brands, even including Segway! Hence, you pay the premium for their unparalleled quality especially with that IP66 rating!
