Superman was written to help save and inspire so many that are going through this horrible Disease of all types by stressing the importance of regular checkups and catching the disease early on. So many of us think that we are invincible and Cancer only happens to others but the idea of "No Ones Superman" is that we all need to be aware and be checked regularly even if we feel strong and healthy like Superman! Especially when it comes to prostate cancer because it shows no symptoms till sometimes it is too late. Also, If diagnosed It is important that the patient does not suffer alone knows it is ok to be vocal and ask for help. So many Cancer patients, especially Men with Prostate Cancer suffer in silence! When I was asked to write this song by Zero Cancer I really wanted to feel as closely as possible what it was like to live this story. So we flew Cancer Survivor Phil Shulka in to Nashville and sat in a writers room on music row to help us write the song. Phil mentors Cancer patients using his own experiences to help them through. He sat down and just talked for an hour about everything he has been through and experienced with others. Goose Gossett ( Co-Writer and Producer) and I were taking notes and listening hard to his emotional story. In the end we came out with something truly magical! It soon became Zero Cancers anthem song. They asked me to be the National Ambassador of their organization and I now travel across the country performing at races and singing the song providing hope for thousands of survivors everywhere. I couldn't be prouder of our work and excited to make an impact and fight back against Prostate Cancer and all Cancer!! This song will save lives and we are so proud of its message! Know when you Share this you could Save Someone's Life! So Share away and call your radio stations and request Superman!! The song has so many meanings to me. I have lost family to cancer and decided a long time ago that I would use my platform to fight it! I also lost my father during the vocal recording of the song while in studio. May 11th 1997 first cancer C.N.S brain tumor told I had 30 days to live. I'm a 3 time cancer survivor only by the grace of God, March 16th 2016 salvia and lymph node cancer after stage 3 skin cancer. Just found this song today. My husband who just turned 47, has Stage 4 Metastatic Advanced Prostate Cancer. He was diagnosed summer of 2019. It’s been a a bumpy road but we are pulling through it. My uncle is not one to go to the doctor just press on through any kind of pain. However, last year he couldn't take it anymore and went to the hospital. The doctor that over saw his case said, "You have stage 4 prostate cancer." Now he has made amends for the years of shutting us out from his life. He wants to spend what time he has enjoying being with us not being mad until he has no time left.

This video was real helpful as I prepared for my prostate surgery on May 28th 2019. The "Running Community" really came through for me by purchasing T-Shirts and donations for my fundraising. I lost my husband on July 6th after a 7 year ongoing battle with prostate cancer. He was diagnosed early. He was very diligent about preventive care since his father died of prostate cancer. He had the DaVinci surgery, hormone therapy...etc...etc...etc... Both of his brothers also have PCa. My husband never fought his battle alone, had the best medical care and always had his chin up, he was a hero to many. Very inspiring song, thank you for creating it.

At age 60 I was running 15-20 miles/week and felt great, no symptoms whatsoever. At age 55 I had a slightly elevated PSA, but a biopsy revealed nothing. So I ignored my PSA for 4 years, it's a simple blood test. My wife is a nurse and fortunately she urged me to get tested. My PSA was 29 and I had a stage 3 Gleason 10 prostate cancer. I underwent hormone therapy, DaVinci surgery and 39 sessions of radiation in addition to 3 surgeries to correct the side effects that men fear. Thank God it's 8 years out and my PSA is ZERO and I am not on any medication. If this song motivates one man, who like me, thought he was invincible, it will have accomplished it's purpose. This song is so true. As one who just went through this it really touches home. He speaks the absolute truth on how hard this is. He touches on the physical and emotional aspects of this crap. It's a rough road to travel and we need not travel it alone. Find HELP like Zero Prostate Cancer, Us Too, clergy or whatever works to keep you going. As long as you keep going, cancer does not win. Fight and Fight and Fight even HARDER for those around you who love and need you. It is so worth it. Get tested. The earlier a problem is found, the easier it is to treat and with greater options. As a side note; this is not just a song by Jimmy. He actually cares and supports us. He was at the Austin Texas Zero Prostate Cancer Walk on 10/27/18 to show his support. He shook all of the cancer victims hands with true emotion. He is there for us. He shared this song with us and it was the first time I heard it and it will not be my last.

Man, I am still here. Thank you for the song. I was told I should be gone two months ago. Still going strong but he side effects are a real issue. Please be happy with where you are, even if it is Stage four. Be happy with being alive, even if the future does not look good. Update, both good and not so good news. Went into remission from Stage 4A Ductal Prostate Cancer. But the treatments gutted my body. While trying to figure out why I am so weak they found that I have a brain tumor. Well, I am still here. Your video so resonated with my three year journey with incurable prostate cancer. Just like the fellow profiled in your video, I have three children (although all adults and two granddaughters), a wife who has been my true love for 41 years and feel incredibly fit and vigorous (Am an avid lap swimmer). Don't let a doctor tell you not to get a PSA test. My doctor told me that. When I finally got it, it was high and the cancer had spread. Get a PSA test every year after 50.
