It was an honor working with Carhartt and Guinness to build 3 custom-made bars to support Team Rubicon - a veteran-led disaster relief organization. #ad
2 of the bars are headed to Team Rubicon’s volunteer centers, and the 3rd will be auctioned off to further support the organization.
You can check out the bars now and enjoy a Guinness x Carhartt Labor Day Lager while its still available, at the Guinness Open Gate Brewery in Baltimore, MD. 100% of the proceeds from the beer will go straight to Team Rubicon. The bars will be there til Sept. 15th.

... thank you for the saw mill ✊🏻✊🏻

Please enjoy Guinness responsibly

When I was a student I'd been working with a welder, who was making things like this. Now I'm a teacher and absolutely love my profession, but Lord how I miss those days!! There is just something about being a craftsman doing creative projects with heavy machinery. On the other hand, working in a factory is something I want to forget. It is mind-murdering and ppl are too simple.

Yes!! Midweek Diresta (and Brett) build - talk about inspiration! Making your own steering mechanism, making your own hinges, forging your own handles, etc, etc. Love it.

Can we all just take a moment to appreciate that this build had it all. Metal work, wood work, a bit of leather, hand tools, some awesome old skool tools, CNC. It’s literal had everything. Jimmy, you truly are a very skilled craftsman.

Bravo! Such a combo of ruggedness like it could be hauled across country & turn up looking even better for the trip with such beautiful Fibonacci spirals & harp music of the Emerald Isle & a sense that all the fineness of life & art is built upon the rugged work of heat on steel, fast sharp steel on wood & all carried by the natural rubber of trees as nature carries us all. Thanks for sharing!

I have been following this channel for years and years. Funny how I see how it has change my approach towards working. I was the classical joiner doing fine woodworking and sanding and finishing bottoms of my drawers, these days my approach is that since no one will see it I'll DiResta them. And same with everything else. Somehow workflow has been pumped up and stress lowered down over the years. Everything has to look nice and be top notch quality, but those trivial aspects... nah. Just DiResta them. Nice work as always 👍

I can only imagine the build order for something like this: * Classic, yet modern. * Flags. And pins. And logos. * Nice looking but with some rustic on it too. * Wood? (And boards gluing) Check. Steel? (And welding) Check. * Some blacksmithing, some CNCing wood. And throw some Tormach action in it too, while at it. All done? All done. Oh wait, a little lathe too?
