I met Gerard in 2003 at Hell Fest in NY standing near the stage waiting to watch a little known band called Murder by Death and we chatted for a bit and he told me to watch the band and that they were among the best bands in the 3 day hardcore/punk/indie festival and he was right! I was so grateful that he introduced me to those guys! Super nice dude

Oh man, I hoped to see Gerard on the show, but wasn't sure if it'd actually happen. It's SUCH a delight to see to of your favourite bands colliding like that. I idolise both of these dudes, and it's awesome to see them just chat as humans. Thanks for your art Jim and Gerard, it's been instrumental in my life and I remember fondly attending your live shows when you visited Ireland and look forward to doing so again.
