Im not a musician, but I found your discussion on productivity in the creative process relatable and helpful.

I never really appreciated the skills of a makeup artist until I saw the 555 video. The lightning scars down his cheeks and the rising of the evil sun in his eyes and how perfectly everything meshed together.

I'm not alone 'cause the TV's on, yeah I'm not crazy 'cause I take the right pills every day And rest, clean your conscience Clear your thoughts with Speyside with your grain Clean your conscience, clear your thoughts with Speyside Salt, sweat, sugar on the asphalt Our hearts littering the topsoil Tune in and we can get the last call Our lives, our coal Salt, sweat, sugar on the asphalt Our hearts littering the topsoil Sign up, the picket line or the parade Our lives I'm not alone 'cause the TV's on, yeah I'm not crazy 'cause I take the right pills every day And rest, clean your conscience Clear your thoughts with Speyside with your grain Clean your conscience, clear your thoughts with Speyside Salt, sweat, sugar on the asphalt Our hearts littering the topsoil Tune in and we can get the last call Our lives, our coal Salt, sweat, sugar on the asphalt Our-our hearts, yeah, littering the topsoil Sign up, the picket line or the parade Our lives Greed from my arm Won't they give it a rest now? (Give it a rest now) Now, now, now Salt, sweat, sugar on the asphalt Our hearts littering the topsoil Tune in and we can get the last call Our lives, our coal Salt, sweat, sugar on the asphalt Our hearts littering the topsoil Sign up, the picket line or the parade Our lives, our coal

Last time I saw Jimmy live it was at the Aus Open tennis. I bought a ground pass just to go to the gig, bollocks to the tennis. They finished their set with time to spare and played this song as a bonus. Fuck me I almost cried, it was awesome.

anyone that can survive this abomination of a record needs a medal! I dont understand why people give this record such praise, it is by far the WORST album this fantastic band has done by far! for people who have never heard of this band this may very well be a good starting point but for those who have been long time fans this is such a disappointing record which sounds very much like a boring pub band who have run out of ideas, 555 as a concept single may please some but does not fit with the rest of this record & even tho trying new ideas & experiments is always a welcome touch even that song cant save itself from its boring ideas in & of itself! why this band chose to play their worst album when other albums they could have chosen are by far better is anyones best guess but IF JEW decide to do another one of these live sessions please do anything but this monstrosity please!

I gave my mother my soul. She took her life when I was 21, after my entire life of trying- I mean she tried, over and over again, and I saw her taken out on stretchers and loaded into ambulances, and spent too many nights in the ER... And the birthdays and Christmas. There was at least one hospital Christmas, because she read "A night before Christmas ". When I was very little we did it under the tree. And why is it that I can't forget the one time we had to do it in the hospital? She was in more than out. I don't know if I have ever properly articulated my childhood. She killed herself, or overdosed, when I was 21. I rhink I need to say it over and over again, like this, to make it real? I am 40. She was my everything. I still can't get over it. How many years is that? Too many, for it to hurt like this...

One of my faves from them and best ever tracks for drums. Zach killing it, especially the intro and the drumroll build up going into the end 🔥

I am a fan of Jimmy Eat World since ... 2009/ 2010, sth like that. Im 30, so your music is with me for a half of my life. That is just amazing. Like literally everything you guys do, either its a piece of music, or a Jim's podcast, or mini dive series, or Jim's solo work a few years ago - it just imidietly puts a smile on my face. If i had to describe why I'm so passionate about your music it's kinda like - when I put my headphones on and blast your music, it teleports me to the most beautiful places of my inner world. Its exactly like that. I listen to lots and lots of music, but guys, your work has always been so ... Special. Just special. Its kinda funny, but when I listen to Jim's podcasts or mini dives it just gives a feeling of chatting about music stuff with a good old friend. Looking forward to your European tour, a bit of shame that you won't be playing in Poland this year, but I will try to make it to the Amsterdam gig. Love you guys so, so much, stay safe, and stay amazing ❤

I once fell asleep and dreamed of a beautiful unheard of chorus line that sounded like a hit, if it was published, i wake up to my dad coming into the room to remind me to put something away, and i lost that lyric, i was so pissed

This video reminded me of many of the sci-fi-oriented videos on early MTV (1981-1984, say). I came up on that stuff, so I can't get enough of it to this day.
