The best moment of 2022 was when I finally got the spinal surgery that helped me get out of the wheelchair permanently and now walking fairly well with only a cane. For context I'm 26 years old, a Marine Corps Infantry vet who fell off a cliff while I was going through the scout sniper indoc course in 2018. The second best moment would be when me and my girlfriend moved into our first house. It is insane since during the pandemic I lost my job, my injuries got substantially worse and I was wheelchair bound and ended up becoming homeless for a few months. Luckily I've been able to recover and I'm planning on going to college to get a BS with minors in wildlife biology once I've completed my physical therapy and recover enough that it won't interfere with school.
