I saw Bruce Springsteen two nights in a row on the Born in the USA tour in 1985. We loved the first night! We were completely disappointed the second night when it was word for word, note-for-note, step-for-step, identical to the night before. I know that was 32 years ago but perhaps Bruce is still scripting his shows. This is not criticism, just an observation.
@luisalonsoecheverria7 жыл бұрын
His Broadway shows are scripted because it's BROADWAY!!! You have a script. You have a showbill. You do and say things in a certain order. That's how Broadway shows work whether they are a stage musical or a one woman/one man show.
@kattatonic17 жыл бұрын
luisalonsoecheverria Bruce Springsteen is on Broadway? So is it a play? A musical? I thought he was talking about a concert. Regardless, those concerts in the 80s were scripted. Very unlike rock bands at the time.
@luisalonsoecheverria7 жыл бұрын
Springsteen is currently doing a Broadway stint. It's a one-man show. Springsteen tells stories about his life and performs various songs from throughout his career completely acoustic.
@kattatonic17 жыл бұрын
luisalonsoecheverria Very interesting. Yeah Billy could not have really expected that he'd let him join the stage for that.
@trumsolon7 жыл бұрын
It's a solo Broadway-show. A regular Springsteen-gig is anything but scripted. Look at his setlists from the past decade. On the Wrecking Ball tour he played over 200 (!) different songs.

Wow, when Billy said Flatbush Avenue and Ditmas Avenue. What a small world back then. Funny thing is, I'll bet most of the Lefties in Brooklyn TODAY aren't even natives. Meaning, they haven't been residents since BEFORE '95. It's a WHOLE DIFFERENT Brooklyn TODAY. DEFINITELY NOT the same place I grew up in during the '70s and '80s. Definitely NIGHT /DAY.
