Most interesting thing is when Trevor says I’m more chill about being around kids cause “I don’t have them” and I’m not sure if he knows it, but he just hit upon the secret to parenting. I don’t think he meant it exactly in this context but it’s still the best way to put it. You must always remember with your kids, that you do not have them. They are not yours. They are their own people. Your job is to set the best example so that they learn how to be adults. And you do that by loving them and being truthful above all whenever possible.

@@attilaplasch6814 Ever watch the live satellite feed of colbert recording the monologue from home during covid where his video is going one way, and the prompter text is coming from NYC in the other direction? It's a LOT more scripted than you'd think. On average, he slightly changed the wording of one or two jokes a day while he was doing it - it's hard to say how much he contributed to the writing earlier in the day as that wasn't fed live by satellite. It was also surprising how many takes he had to do sometimes of each segment of monologue to get it right. I have nearly every covid monologue's production archived, both the prompter, and the live video going the other direction. Trevor doing the daily show also was fed by satellite during covid, but not live during production, only the final edited cut was fed daily, usually 3 or 4 hours before it aired on the east coast

I don’t know how we came up with the idea but when the kids would get into it we would make them sit in separate chairs until they apologized AND accepted the other’s apology. So basically each kid was armed with temporary parental authority. Usually it would go “I’m sorry” “I’m sorry and I accept your apology” “I accept your apology” and off they go playing again. BUT occasionally one of them would be really pissed off and would NOT accept the apology and they would sit there for awhile until whoever was offended cooled off and whoever was the offender got to think about what they’d done that made the other so angry. They were both good natured kids and it didn’t happen often but it sure made it easy on us as they self regulated. Face it…as parents we rarely knew exactly what happened but they knew what justice was required and were able to mete it out.

Trevor is extremely talented and intelligent. I very much like his quick witted performance.

i’ve always really appreciated Trevor as a comedian first and foremost, but hearing him break down the concept of the children’s book he wrote made me realize just how smart and well-spoken he is just in general. and he seems like just a really down to earth, interesting guy to talk to. this video was great!!

Trevor is perfection 🤩😍🥰 And I'm a non bed-maker as well. Thought I was the only one who gets up & leaves, as Trevor said. 😆😅

I'd be happy enough to see him get another show.

There's a reason he doesn't have one. He is genuinely one of the unfunniest people alive today.

It's not the same thing but he does do an excellent podcast with some terrific guests. Love it despite not being any kind of podcast person.

Trevor in a hoodie and the Daily Show during the pandemic was one of the brightest things during those hard times.🫶🏻

@franckielouann4651Ай бұрын
@@Seeta_sa_gauta yes he did,😅 part of the fun was to find out which colored hoodie he will whip out that day and trying to count how many hoodies he went through during that time,😂

My mother and I solved the demaking question the following way: I never made my bed because I never saw the sense in it. She told me to do it for a while. I ignored her. She realized I was a lost cause and it didn't really matter if my bed was made or not. We both were happy. She still is a bedmaker and I'm not.

Trevor is so calmly wise it's hard to remember some times, he's one of the great comedians of his age.

Trevor, love ya. I didn't teach conflict resolution, per se. I had my students debate topics, the twist was they had to debate the opposite of their opinion. 💙

"your bed needs to breathe!" Trevor Noah standing up for the non bed makers 🙌
@MorganMingo70Ай бұрын
I love these two together!❤ I am a bed maker, but I allow it to breathe while I’m getting myself together. I always leave the covers back until I’m ready to go out the door.

@Whatsamacallit911Ай бұрын
His voice is my sleep companion. Whenever I find myself tossing and turning in bed, I either pick one of his specials on Netflix or his audiobook and listen to him until I doze off.
