Oh man can you imagine the state of panic Phil would be in. Jay wouldn't think much about it, but Gloria eventually knocked some sense into him, while explaining how her cousin ended up in jail. In truth, Jay's probably just worried about the virus infecting Stella. Haley would be oblivious, Alex and Claire would be on WebMD 24/7, Luke would make his own hazmat suit and gas mask with everyday stuff. Manny would write poems or some kind of art piece dedicated to the doctors. Idk what Mitchell, Cam, and Lily would do. Maybe stay in a bunker underneath a farm somewhere?

Great ideas! So many possibilities for sure. Maybe it will come back for a one off special. Maybe lots of sitcoms will do a Corona one off special. When you said about Cam and Mitch, I straight away thought of it being Mitch who would go full on pioneer country and make preserves and bake bread and drive them nuts. Love the bit about Luke, I think even better that he invent an amazing face mask but doesn’t get the credit for it. Jay would get a new lease of life, wanting to start and learn new things and be exhausting to Gloria who will wish he went back to being laid back Jay. So much gold to be found in storylines with this!

True. Some writers tend to write their characters as close to the actor as possible for authenticity.

It's one thing to create a character head to toe for a film, where you change your walk your voice your mannerisms to create a character in its entirety. It's another thing to do the same character for a decade and not have your own voice mannerisms come throw, it's also hard not to pick up phrases and mannerisms of people you spend a lot of time with over a long time. Obviously that would include a character you played for a decade that had key things written in.

one of the best written roles was Phil, I don't know if he improvises some of the lines but the role is so witty, hilarious, heartwarming, and just different. I didn't think I would like him but quickly he became one of my favorite characters in all the sitcoms I've seen. Loved to watch them in their "quarantine looks". Specially Ed and Eric. They really looked "locked down". Only Sofia manages to look like a Diva 24/7. But then again she's Colombian!! Will never see a Colombian Diva "unproduced". To think that when they are guests in a show they probably spend hours choosing their attires and then have to have special make up for HD, etc. etc. Would love to see stars like them in their "natural state" all the time!! All the cast is irreplaceable, but it was Phil's character who really made me stick with and enjoyed the show. Adorable people, especially Ed. As much as I love this show and feel kinda lost when it really ended, I gotta say there were at least 2-3 screwed-up seasons that didn't share the same quality of the previous 4-5 seasons. It was almost painful going through those rather unsatisfying seasons, and even the last season has a few screwed-up episodes. That said, I'm happy with the ending episodes they did though, still the sweet yet mean modern family that I'm familiar with. Great work.

Most people think that Friends is the best tv show but in my opinion Modern Family is the best show I watch it every day and usually me and my brother watch it together but sometimes I watch like 1 season without him and he gets so mad at me and I just tell him that i'm sorry and that I needed to watch it and that I couldn't wait for him.
