So many people in the comments are saying things like, “I like Tom but he is really privileged.” I’m really not seeing the point??? Yes, he’s privileged and his parents had money, but he’s a really down to earth guy so it really shouldn’t matter. It isn’t like he goes around flaunting it to everyone. He had the opportunity to go to a really good school and that’s great for him so I don’t really see the point of everyone getting so mad. I love how people hate what they wish had and couldn't... Tom's family wasn't wealthy, both parents worked A LOT to give their children the best education possible. That's not a crime. Is it? If you don't know, Tom worked on a restaurant to help them whit the payments when he become in age. He has a Double First in Cambridge and that's something that he earn it, by his own efforts. Because he really is a talented, gifted, working and intelligent man, an excellent human beign, so kind and gentle. Please, people. Don't judge him without knowing. Actually a big group on boarding school kids are children of people in the army. The army pay for them to board so both parents can be deployed. I went to boarding school and I'd say half of my house were army kids.

Well, from what I read, his father was a chemist and a director of a biochemical company. The family was living comfortably at a townhouse in London. Tom even had a nanny when he was lil kid. His father was from working class, but worked his ass off so he could be one of the upper middle class. Tom's mom was already from an upper middle class family. His father at that time have had considerable amount of money to sent him to prestigious boarding school, something that his father wanted, because he wanted his kids had the opportunity that he never had. My point is, If I were his dad, I would do exactly the same thing

I don’t give af if he’s “privileged”, he damn well knows it and doesn’t flaunt it. he’s a very humble guy and works with an organization where he took a stand for the children who don’t have enough food to eat in a day, where he lived off of as little food a day as he could. i think that shows a great example of how he uses his privilege for those not as fortunate as him. he’s an extremely respectable man with a great heart ugh. people try to find faults in anyone who has a following or money, he’s done nothing wrong here.

I am an American teenager and I go boarding school. Not everyone who goes to the school has to dorm there, but I live 3 1/2 hours away so I do. Crazy stuff doesn't really happen, though. The male and female dorms are separated by a door with an alarm on it that goes off if you open it.
