Hey Jimmy I just finished reading Wizard and Glass and just WOW. I can really understand why it is your favorite Stephen King book. As much as I love IT I don't think I felt as emotionally connected to the story as I did with this one. Truly tragic and easy to fall deep into. Gonna start Wolves of the Calla immediately!

I haven't read too much in the way of Clive Cussler, but while I wasn't a gigantic fan of his, I really really enjoyed a book called "The Chase". Historical fiction with train bandits and enjoyable characters. I was young when I read it, but of the books I've read of his that one is his best.

I’m a big fan of Koryta and thrilled that you enjoyed The Chill. His other novel under that name is called Where They Wait and it is also excellent… I would say a bit spookier and an even better story. The books under his name bounce between supernatural fiction (he got compared to King a lot early on) and straightforward crime or thriller novels. I would love to hear what you think about his supernatural stuff. The Ridge, The Cypress House and So Cold the River are all worthwhile and pretty quick reads that demonstrate his style of supernatural storytelling pretty well. The comparisons to Stephen King are inevitable, but I think he has his own lane. personally I’d go with so cold the River, but all three have intriguing plots so you could also just grab the one that jumps out to you.

How did you like emperor of dune compared to the first 3? I loved Dune but wasn’t a fan of Dune Messiah and was so/so about Children of dune. Beautifully written books but man they are kind of tough to get through haha

Honestly I couldn’t agree more! I borderline hated messiah and thought children was a bit better of a rebound. But emperor was second best to the first.
