Thunderclap Newman Promotional Film

I love this band and wanted to put together something that would not only show my appreciation for the impact they've had on my life but to hopefully help promote the new lineup as they are all incredibly talented musicians who have come a long way in such a short time. I am proud of them & hope they get the recognition they deserve.
This took me almost 7 hours to complete and although it's not perfect, I'm extremely proud of it. Enjoy.

Thank you for sharing this. Jimmy McCullough's life and musical career would make a fascinating documentary/biography. He was an amazing guitarist...the earlier psych tracks he was involved with at age 14 are bloody amazing and, if people dig deeper into Thunderclap Newman...beyond the remarkable anthem "Something in the Air" they would be in for a real treat! Dig backwards into JM's CV for some awesome goodies

Thanks for putting this together - I first heard their music in junior high school in 1969. I bought the LP and listened to it until the grooves wore thin. Replaced it, of course. Jimmy McCulloch was an extremely talented guitarist - his work in Wings was really great. Nice job on your tribute channel!

I also love this band. Thunderclap Newman brings back great memories of my younger years when I used to hear them on Progressive radio stations in the early 70's. The early progressive stages of rock were so much better than what came out after 1975 when the "commercial devil" hi-jacked the moniker and turned many of the FM radio stations into an AM pop format. Thank goodness for college radio and NPR!

I have just discovered Thunderclap Newman...Accidents is an incredible song, and Jimmy McCulloch...incredible guitarist...the lead singer's voice reminds me of a mixture of Pete Townshend's and Chris Squire's voice...but yet, it is so original! I love the voice...I recognize the drummer of the present Thunderclap Newman lineup, he is the same drummer on Pete Townshend's Slit Skirts video... thank you so much for this promotional film...awesome!

I recently listened to the first half audio version with PT’s narration, and this footage clearly gives more meat on the bones of the TCN story. Indeed the images take the fable and myth of the band to a more factual level.
