When you put 700$ price tag, you better have higher end chip and 3 focal lengts of camera (wide + tele + ultrawide) or lower the price. This phone would be a great buy at 500$ and not a cent more.
@TBDG53104 жыл бұрын
@@mateotokic3841 Adding the highest end chip and also having technically 4 cameras would definately warrant having more like a $900 price tag at least, especially for a Google phone.
@mateotokic38414 жыл бұрын
@@TBDG5310 Other manufactures do it, either one, or another or both (S20 FE). And even if price would be 900$ for Google phone with those specs (still overpriced) it would be a far better buy than it is right now with what you get for your money. But Google knows that 99% of KZbinrs (which live off Google and KZbin) will try to twist and turn everything about Pixel in positive way and they do not even bother respecting their customers with hardware worth of their money. When you think about it just because they have so much revenue from their other streams they should make one great flagship and one great midrange and because they do not depend of their mobile divison, they can undercut everyone with price (and still be in + with revenue) and in that way control prices on the market and keep them reasonable. This way, phone which is midrange in all way is prices as lower tier flagship which will end with 1000$ midrangers in year or two.

@@Konakoazerty Yes I certainly can. It's passable. It's not brilliant but it is not as bad as some reviewers would have you believe. My personal opinion the quality of the speakers is fine but there is a noticeable imbalance when using your phone in landscape for watching videos or playing games. I should add if the types of games you play are games like among us, it would not negatively affect you.

I bought a new phone last week to replace my Sony XA2 Ultra 6" that was two years old. I am not a flagship type of guy. $400 would be my price cap on any cell phone. Came down to Moto Power ($220) or the Pixel 4a ($350). After much deliberation, I spent the extra money and went with the 4a. Clean. Simple. Feels good in the hand. Couldn't be happier. I just realized that I don't need all the bells and whistles with a cell phone. I don't care about gaming on phone. I also don't need a huge screen anymore. Pixel 4a does everything I want it to do for me. Love it.

I Agree I've had this phone for 24hrs. Before I had a One plus 6t, but the battery was starting to play up.. So I bought the Pixel 5. My wife has a 3A and she still loves it after 2 years. The Pixel 5 is a cinch to use, and the chip is not slow in fact if someone told you it was a higher end chip you would not argue with fhem. 👍

As a Pixel 5 user just wanna say I'm soo happy with my Pixel 5, it's a 5G handset, great build quality, great screen, great software, amazing camera, the video capture is amazing and the battery is soo sick, check it out! Also people keep moaning about the price, well for me I got it essentially for £399, in UK for limited time offer you get free Bose overhead wireless headphones which I've sold for £200 so I've essentially got my Pixel 5 for £399! £399 for a Pixel 5! How much of a bargain is that! Buy of the year for me! Best phone I've ever had by miles

Yes, I did not even need a new phone but bought it as I also had £140 of Google credit and £60 off (cashback for having 2tb ONE). So, net £200 (or less). I do not even have a SIM card in, just use for photos and as a satnav!

Going from a pixel 2 to the 5 it's a great evolution of the line. Familiar experience, and fun fact, the 5 it's the same physical size as the 2, just more rounded corners. Enjoyed the review. Thank you for correcting your chip comment 👍👍 I'll sub for sure

@@RedOpsTeam no... I live in Canada where the prices of the phones are insane while the phone plans are normal. I use koodo mobile not bell not rogers. I came from an S10 Plus to the Pixel 5 and I don't regret my choice. I was seeing the trend of phones costing well over a thousand dollars and it's not worth it to spend that kind of money imo. My only gripe about the Pixel 5 though, is that the audio quality from the speakers is the worst I've heard in years. But, I made my purchase due to the pure android experience without any bloatware and I'm not disappointed.

Will buy it definitely... still using Pixel 1. Pixel 5 is actually just Pixel 1 with better battery and additional camera, and only worthy upgrade candidate. My take: Storage is enough, camera is good enough, battery is better, display is better, fingerprint is something I need. Only downside is lack of 3.5 port but adapter will do...

I bought my Pixel 4a on release and ended up paying 180 out of pocket because of my amazon gift money I had left over and was feeling that I should have waited for the 5 but after watching this review I feel less worried about my buyer remorse. I have been loving the 4a since my purchase but even with the slight buyers remorse

Thanks for the great honest review! I'm going to upgrade from my Pixel 2 XL to the 4a 5G here in the UK as Google was offering a free Bose QC 35 II headphone with it. If not for that, I would go for the 4a as it's incredibly cheap at only £349 at the moment.

Best take on this phone I've watched. "Main" pixels are not worth it anymore imho. Since the 3A, you're better off going for the "a-pixel" line. Great value, great performance, great support.

Appreciate the honesty! I decided to go with the 5 over the 4a (usually not the type to spend so much on a phone) because looking long term, if the phone lasts me 3 years, that extra battery life will be very appreciated and the slightly better specs will help it age better

I upgraded almost a year ago to the Samsung Galaxy S10 and I must say I'm really satisfied with it. Good quality, great sound, doesn't make any problems, good battery and camera. Plus it still has a headphone jack. Very good phone while costing about 500 bucks right now. Only thing is the back is kind of flashy and glossy which makes finger prints extremely visible. Get a screen protector so the screen isn't scratched after a month and you'll be fine.
@kartoffelwillipeter30674 жыл бұрын
@Ilir Cami Caution: This comment is way longer than initially intended. Well for me it is excellent, only thing are the phone settings, I always need an eternity when I search for something unusual and specific. Otherwise everything is very easy to use, standard Android stuff. Though I forgot the only important thing that really bothers me. The S10 is the phone where Samsung tried to indroduce their own Siri called Bixby, this thing has a dedicated button right under the volume buttons, and even if you don't want it (like me) you can't fully delete it or put any other use on that button. Only thing you can do is go into the settings of bixby to make it so that you have to either hold the button or you need to push it twice to activate it. So occasionally I accidentally activate bixby, but you know, if I even forget about it when I initially talk about the phone, it isn't the worst thing in the world, I at least got used to it. Though in the end I can't say much, my last phone was a Note 4 and I don't know what currently is considered good or bad, all I know is, like every phone when you buy it, it has tons of useless malware on it, some of it that you can't even uninstall instead you can just deactivate it so it doesn't bother you anymore (prominently Facebook and Bixby) and everything I need works great and is easy to find. I don't play any hardcore smartphone games so I don't know how good it keeps up with continuously high performance demand. The phone usually changes quickly between wifi and mobile data, and it quickly responses when you lose signal and go back out again.

Waiting for my Pixel 5 atm. Getting it next week! Was thinking of getting the 4a 5G but I need the water resistance to keep my mind at ease(Allot of rain and snow). And the wireless charging is a plus. Love the pixel series, still have my pixel 1 after 4 years. Only problem with it is the battery life (6hours max) atm. With careful use of the pixel 5 you can easily have it over a 5 year period. Don't think the price is to high, when this phone can easily outrank the other phones in 3 years when it still get updates for the android. My older phones I had to switch after 2-3 years period because of android problems(Usually only 1 year of updates). So if a pixel last 5-6 years, you do save that amount over the long term.

Was able to get two Pixel 5's for $100 less than the price of one with trade in through our cell company. So far after 2 weeks of use I can say that we absolutely love this phone, especially considering the promotion they ran! I do agree that regular price of $700 would be a bit steep. Oh, and the battery is fantastic!

Google does simple and functional very well. Imsgine the user friendliness of apple without all of the totalitarian proprietary BS. It's clean and does anything you ask it to and doesn't try to force you into extra software you never asked for

I have had the Pixel 4xl since the beginning of the year and this is hands down the best phone I have ever had the only thing that lack of the pixel 4 and 4xl is the finger print sensor. Other than that the camera is phenomenal, my family and friends are always complimenting how great of pictures my pixel takes. I don't think I will upgrade for another year and a half or 2 years if the battery holds up.

At 4:40 you mention that the photo gets processed. How did you find taking front facing photos of yourself? Currently on my pixel this processing distorts my photos and make it look like its been taken with a fish eye lens. Makes my cheeks look way bigger than they already are lol. I'm hoping newer phones avoid this distortion.

Really good review. So many are missing the point on this phone. I think everyone can agree that $600 would have been perfect, but you're still getting a lot for your money. I like a smaller phone and a great camera. I like the finger print reader on the back where I naturally grip the phone. I like symmetrical bezels and no notch. I don't need all the extras that Samsung packs in, and I don't like the size and design of OnePlus. Also, getting a free pair of Bose QC35ii headphones made this a no-brainer for me.

The pixel 5 is really surprising me. So far I'm loving this device more and more each day I have it. It's only been a few days but so far the battery life has been amazing and performance has been great. All of the features I want to complain about not having are still an issue but the performance so far makes me miss those complaints less and less. I'm coming from a pixel 3xl and loves it but I don't miss glass back phones. I love the back of this phone and the lack of finger prints.

I had the 4a 5g because honestly it seemed like the best bang for the buck but after owning it for 1 week I started having buyers remorse because I knew that literally for $150 more I could have googles flagship and honestly I'm glad I did because now that summer is here I am one of those guys that brings my phone in the water to take pictures of my 2 year old daughter and honestly the memories I get to keep of her learning how to swim will last a lifetime can't really put a price tag on memories .

the google pixel's approach towards simplicity is seriously what a lot of people love and take great interest in. I really see them competing with apple with their simplistic, easy-to-use-and-understand approach!
