Man, I always forget about the TEMPERATURE in this place. I kinda wish they showcased that more. Ya know the crazy thing is, I never realized this track was technically the hyperbolic time chamber track. Its used in so many iconic moments. But damn does it sound good so that makes sense.

Yes I agree, this is the case with many of the Faulconer productions tracks. I’m not sure if it’s a consequence of scoring to picture or something else, but either way it sure takes you on a journey that feels unpredictable in a cool way.

Ah... One of those Faulconer-era tracks that really never aged poorly. It says something when the remake's instruments sound virtually identical to the original, like when the FF7 Remake did "Under The Rotting Pizza," which came out basically as intended even back in the 90's on PSX chiptunes... And of course, despite being faithful down to the last detail, GLADIUS is the king of the savage DROP. Never fails to blow you over when it happens. So goddamn satisfying...

It’s interesting you mentioned that about the sounds being identical, when I first started making these covers/remakes I would try to recreate the sounds to the best of my ability, but sometimes not getting them exactly right. But recently for my last 3 or 4 videos I bought the same synth that the Faulconer productions team used back in the day and started implementing it into my remakes. So funny enough, some parts are literally identical because I used the same patches on the synth. But that said, I do try to do my own thing with my version, create a new soundscape for these sounds to exist in, and only use the synth when I believe the original sounds could not be improved in any way 😉 and in this track there’s a lot of them!!

Man, I grew up with the American soundtrack of Dragon Ball Z when Funimation dubbed it. But I like that you actually have the composers who made the soundtrack since Bruce Falcouner only composed a few of the soundtrack like Ginyu's Transformation. But I really like how it was used in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber or a major transformation.

Back when the Hyperbolic Time Chamber meant to go through this grueling and intense training for a whole year. Nowdays in DBS, they just go in and go back as if nothing much happened there (except for the Manga-ish?). Wish they'd show more of Whis' training realm or an upgraded version of the Time Chamber. With your video, you managed to capture all the types of mysterious weather conditions that change rapidly in the Chamber and with how it is truly a very spontanous and dangerous place to be for all levels of mortals. Great stuff man, keep it up! :D P.S. Can't wait for the Japanese version of Goku going Super Saiya-jin. :)

My head canon is to think now that Goku and Vegeta have stepped into the realm of the Gods in their power, going into a place like that is just a vacation/training retreat for them haha But yeah I wanted to show the different stages of the music as changes in the time chamber :) glad you liked it!! Hi Gladius, been enjoying your stuff over the last few days and these are really excellent remakes of the Faulconer and Co. score (especially Buu's Medley and the Dragon Theme). This is another banger, and again highlights why anyone who claims that the only reason to like it is because of "nostalgia" is talking out of their arse (I love DBZA, but yes I include some of the TFS members). If you do happen to take requests or eventually get around to it, would love to hear your version of 'Time Chamber' (the one used in the scene where Goku buries Vegeta), and/or the 'Intro to Finale and Closing Music' (in case you weren't aware, there's also an unreleased extended version of this track on YT called 'Goku Vs Jeice & Burter - Closing Music extended mix' that may help). Regardless, thanks for what you've done so far, great work mate and hope you keep it up 💪

Man I really appreciate your comment. I’m right there with you; as I make these and like to think I understand them pretty well technically. But you just pointed out something that made me realise, out of all the scores for film, tv, anime, this particular one being the Faulconer score is very unconventional. It has this way of finding its way into the hearts of anyone open to it. It’s hard to put a finger on but I can feel it. And make no mistake, I may very well have my nostalgia glasses on but listening as an adult and recreating them meticulously; I just feel like they’ve taught me something about scoring as a whole, and it’s that you can be really bold with your musical choices and fail, but if you’re bold and it somehow works, then you have something truly special that binds us with the story. That’s what this music is to me. I’m still figuring it out in my head though 😅 I wrote this reply while listening to time chamber. What a special piece. I may have to something with it at some point Thank you!!

Its strange because this intro part of the soundtrack is not registered as the hyperbolic time chamber on Bruce faulconer soundtrack which credits all the composer's. This track was used like 50 times for Majin buu scenes, vegeta scenes and cell/android scenes. Maybe once this played in the time chamber scene when trunks and vegeta were in there prepping for cell.

On my Spotify this whole track IS registered with the title “Hyperbolic Time Chamber”, and has always been that way as far as I know. But maybe it’s different on the actual CD’s or elsewhere. They use it a lot for sure outside of the chamber, but it’s also used when Goku ascends past a SSJ for the first time in the time chamber.

In the Granolah the Survivor arc, the characters did not actually fight. The wish-granting dragon and the hyperbolic time chamber fought. Granolah and gas used the dragon. Frieza used a time chamber.

You are correct the first time, it is directly from the Alesis qs6. I had the sound font file too but it doesn’t have the dynamic/velocity embedded into the patch. All the patches sound the best from the synth itself, of course ☺️
