As usual another Gem full of knowledge. You are technically so sound , hats off to you Sir . Your advice for a vehicle in water is so good . I have one question regarding Hill Decent Control . As in Himachal there are many roads like in Shimla town which have very steep gradients. Now on these terrain 4 l or 4 h is not needed but still in normal condition can we use This HDC . I mean without using 4 by 4 . And my thanks for making such knowledgeable Vlogs .
@MashofreaksAutoАй бұрын
Many thanks for continuous support and kind words Sir, keep on spreading content in Himachal so it will be a win win situation for all. To answer your question, never use a 4x4 system in a good tarmac road. If slush or Ice that's a different thing. Unfortunately, in the given system, HDC won't work without 4x4. I suggest 1st gear if very very steep gradient like chhota Shimla to Kasumpti so it will use engine braking most of the time for safer drive. Hope, this helps! 😀

@@MashofreaksAutoSir I have a query again . If we have a Tarmac road but very steep for a small stretch say 100 meter like in some end points for example at Some parts of Kasumati or Pari Mahal in Shimla can we use 4 H in this condition . Though road may be good but very steep and with a कैंची .
@MashofreaksAutoАй бұрын
Sir, better not to use 4x4 on tarmac road except the surface is not slippery. There is thumb rule, 4x4 is designed when the wheels are losing traction but on tarmac, it is not the case, right? So in this case, do not use 4x4 it is good for the life transfer case and differential boxes. However, whether it is a steep or straight path if the vehicle is losing traction then you can use 4H, 4L, or even with HDC in case of steep gradients downwards. Hope, I am able to answer your question. Feel free to ask again for any doubt. After sometime, I will make a video on 4x4 usage with all reasoning but it will take a little time.

There are 3 best parts of this video. 1st- Beautiful location, 2nd- Jimny itself,and the 3rd- the man with a great knowledge(which is the highlight). Sir, you again made a master video. I have seen many jimny videos. But your series is undoubtedly the best. I would love to watch you doing off-road videos in coming time. Till then best of luck, sir.

I am honored to be decorated with an award. Thanks for your kind words! 🙏 I am glad you like the videos. I am also happy to learn that the idea of making "Jimny Cookbook Series" is on track! Sure Sir! These days, there's too much rain here, almost 10-12 hours on an avg. almost daily, so I am not getting chances to go out much. Sometimes, there are multiple attempts to record a single video which may stretch up to 3-4 days. I am preparing and planning something for winter and possibly snow as well. If possible for you, please help me to spread my content for visibility within the interested audience. 😊 Any such efforts from you for visibility will be highly appreciable Sir! Needless to say thank you again, but a big thanks to you! 🙏

Thanx for the informative video again Sir 👍 How to use HDC in automatic version of my Jimny on a steep slope in the hills ?
@MashofreaksAutoАй бұрын
Deepak ji, thanks for support! You need to engage 4x4, and need to press the Hill Decent Control button. In the central console below AC buttons, second button from right. Never use 4x4 on dry tarmac roads. Hope, this helps. Please help to spread my videos.

Like the AC . How to turn on hot AC in winters ? Do make a small video .
@MashofreaksAutoАй бұрын
Ajay Sahab! For automatic climate control, just keep your car AC at high temp, it is that simple. And in manual control, move the knob in a clockwise direction (in some vehicles it is slider) into the red strip zone and based on the cold adjust it manually. I will make a video under the AutoTech series. Hope, this helps.

wonderful and helpful video. A quick question, if the HDC works in collaboration with Traction Control, how will it work in 4L as that disables the traction control/ESP. Please note, I am still awaiting the delivery of my Jimny, so this question is based on the videos I have seen
@MashofreaksAutoАй бұрын
Thanks for watching, supporting and commenting. 👍 A smart question: that's something a little button manages called the Hills Decent button. I agree that in 4L TCS is otherwise off. 😊👍

@@MashofreaksAuto got it, so while I engages the 4L, it disables the ESP, but then I enables the HDC by pressing that button. Thanks, trust shifting from old 2.4 AT Grand Vitara, to Jimny, I thought I will have a quick shift, but Jimny do have some amazing updates on top of my GV which needs some learning curve. And yes, your videos absolutely helpful.

For that reason you press the hill decent button and that works in the background. As long as that little button is not active you are absolutely right.

Engaging HDC in Thar is more practical than Jimny
@MashofreaksAutoАй бұрын
Hmnn, what is the maximum speed it attains in 4L?
@haresh69Ай бұрын
@@MashofreaksAuto Do really 4L is meant for max speed

I believe you mentioned HDC not 4L above, right? So I asked you about HDC max speed not 4L Sir. This is the main purpose of the HDC on steep gradients down the hill.

@@MashofreaksAuto Actually I could engage HDC directly with out switching to 4H or 4L in Thar but in Jimny it is not possible without 4x4

😊 This is the reason I asked you the maximum crawling speed. No worry. I drove Thar for 12 years. This is reason I respect both, Thar and Jimny. Both are very different vehicles and respectful with their own capabilities. And I am sure you are also enjoying Thar a lot! 😊👍 Thanks for your comment.
