1) it's a great car for city especially AT version. It's an absolutely fantastic vehicle for city drive, compact & capable ... for neck to neck traffic it's fantastic .. 2) High turning radius becomes a problem initially but once you get used to it, it's not a problem. 3) I live in Bangalore and here normal roads are offroads .. so you can drive it without worrying about potholes 4) mileage is city is not good . Buy i haven't driven even 1km on highways, but i notice that when i tldrive in city on open roads mileage improves 10+. But when you buy Jimny you will love it so much that you can live with it's tantrums.. it's a cute little car .. 5) cheap parts. My windscreen got hit by a stone from a dumper in bangalore city .. it cost me just 3000/- for windscreen GST 18% and labour extra. I feel windscreen for other suzuki cars are more expensive than this. Will write more as I experience my Jimny more .. Guys it's a fun little reliable vehicle which will never let you down ..

It is agina a great share with your experiences and will help many. You are right, AT is like a charm for cities. Either on coming or next week you will see a video on this subject, my script is ready probably help many new buyers or potential buyers. It is really a King of bad roads, and I exprienced it from very closely because my most of the drive are in hills or bad roads. On mileage, it will not give you good mileage on short and especially in very short trips. It is normal behaviour of any car but Jimny is bit different vehicle but still far better than on mileage as compare to other petrol 4x4 or Ladder on Frame chassis vehicle. Except of delays, I accept that the part are not expensive and this is another reason by Maruti Suzuki vehicles are favrourable for most of us. Yeah, keep on writing. It is always a learning from others experience and I always enjoy such learnings. Thanks again!

Sir, I don't own a Jimmy. But I am off road vehicle enthusiast. So people like me might be interested in modifying the vehicle, that add more weight. This is where 5 door Jimny should have been engineered and probably should be given K15 C series engine. Adding weight causes more trouble. What I understand is 3 door Jimmy is a better engineered product. Highly capable offroader and easily handles modifications. Your thoughts are more valuable. But I must say it again, very powerful and informative video.

Many thanks for the continous support, I am glad to connect with you!🙏 My friend, thanks for raising this question and I am honest to mentioned I missed to touch upon this aspect in the video and should have been touch upon for 30-45 sec on this. And I respect your thoughts and you are coming from. I can really understand this offroad enthusiam thinking :-) Let me try to explain this: 1. K15C is a bit of underperforming underperforming because it is mostly tuned for lesser emission and great mileage. This is the only reason Jimny with K15B engines are banned in UK for non-commercial activities. K15B is Euro6 Stage 2, it just made compliant to stay atleast for few years in market and soon when Euro7 will come (hopefully very soon, maybe end of 2025 in Europe) then it will be safe to consider we are running and older generation engine and that is the bitter truth. 2. Having said that still K15B is the good mesh with the current gearboxes and AllGrip Pro system, tried and tested. An you know very well due to many reasons Suzuki is very late to catch the bus. 3. Most important for Suzuki Business, all the Jimny 5 door or 3 doors are getting manufactured in India are getting exported to SAARC nations, Latin America and ASIA continent markets but not to Australia and many other conutries. But irrespective of this reason, these regions are still compliant with K15B like India. And if there business is running well with these then why MSIL should to the R&D as I mentioned in the #2 😊 Suzuki/MSIL are really very late to check-in and missed the flight, however still they are making good money from Jimny (Forget about India). We are just another market for them instead of sentiments we have as buyers. Lastly, you rightly 3Door Jimny is more superior in terms of it is/was getting improved since 2018 when first time JB64 was lauched a predessor or JB74 but same Gen4 DNA. 5 Door was launched without much R&D and Testing so welcome to "JIMNY COOKBOOK SERIES" 😂 I was thinking of making a video on this but script already given to you Sir :-) May be another day, another topic. Regards!

It performs better in off roads and heavy load situations. It pushes the vehicle a bit better in those tough situations.
@vivekbhandari47822 ай бұрын
Solution is quite simple. If you want a quick takeoff or a quick acceleration i while overtaking just shift to number 2 gear in automatic version and then shift back to the automatic.mode. That’s the way to do it.
@MashofreaksAuto2 ай бұрын
Well, you are right in case of very specific conditions of the speed range allowed in 2 of AT and should stop much before you actually touch red lines in RPM, not good for engine life. But this does not work in case of high speed or highway overtakes. Thanks for contributing your thoughts and conmenting 😊👍

Thank You for such an Informative Video.... Well just to share my bit, I own a Jimny Alpha (AT) and I feel more Torque when fully loaded.. I don't know how it works but have never felt less on power especially when needed.
@MashofreaksAuto2 ай бұрын
Anish ji, you are not wrong at all. Let me try to explain this if it helps. The lower end torque feels slightly better in AT and thanks to the Torque Converter mesh with different gear ratio as I pointed out in video as well. Also, at low speed power does not matter much directly. But how beautifully the power getting converted into torque matters a lot so again thanks to the torque converter. AT lags a bit at high speed torque and MT is better in this case. Hope, this explains and help you to understand. Thanks for sharing your experience and contribution. Keep on sharing please 😊👍

@sachinpethkar89502 ай бұрын
That was very informative and logical explanation. I would like to add some things to it. The diesel engines are intrinsically more torquey than petrol engines. When people are comparing the torque of Jimny with other cars, they usually are diesel cars. What percentage of Thars or Brezzas are petrol driven? The majority are diesel powered. One more point I want to emphasize is that when Suzuki designed Gypsy, 'minimum' might be the thing in their minds. So it was a plain utility 4x4 and nothing else. But while designing Jimny, 'minimalism' is the mantra. So the Jimny doesn't lose much on relevant power, features, comforts and luxuries. On highways too it runs well. It tells that it's not to mere pass from one point to the other in the quickest way. It rather tells you to enjoy the ever changing canvas in front of you, displayed through the windshield. If you are not that sort of person then the best way to travel is getting a flight.
@MashofreaksAuto2 ай бұрын
My friend, I always love you see your value adds. And really logical and well framed. Diesel is out of discussions and this is the reasy I compare two K15B engines. Whatever vehicle in market, Thar or anyone, these all are proven in their own category and Jimny is of a very different category except it also has 4x4 vehicle. The minimilistic approach is the simplest and most efficient one. Everybody wants Intel Gen 13 top notch process or even further Xeon in their laptop but 95% of people never able to use that potential. Likewise, comparison is alaway a subjective matter so can be discuss in short except of highlighting few potentials of each. As you right said, the diesel engine are more torquey and on the same line Suzuki Jimny is one of the most fuel efficient and capable car in the world in its category. I really love your last statement to enjoy the changing canvas, apart from these video, I always enjoy the paths and many things on the way rather to keep everything for destination. You never know the paths you are passing by are more beautifual than destinations. Jimny is not a vehicle to push hard but I love that on highways as well. I most of the time get economy of 16 or above and with full loads around 15.5 Kmpl and suppose If somebody fits bigger tyres, they also compromise atleast three things, 1. the ride quality, 2. fuel economy 3. pick up of the car on highways. BTW, I did 8000kms circuit from here to Kerala and back again (no repeat route) in 2014 in my open Thar (canvas type) just because I do not want to take flight and wanted to enjoy all the beautiful landscapes of my country on the way. I have 100s of similar trips which I did. Thanks again for your contribution Sir!

Great insights. May you also cover stearing wobbling issue while breaking at higher speed? I learned that Suzuki is changing clutch plates and some other parts for some vehicles.
@MashofreaksAuto2 ай бұрын
Thank you Sachin ji! 👍 Well, honestly speaking, the steering wobble is very subjective in nature in terms of there are n-numbers of reason cause this. I will surely cover it but I do not want to serve the half cooked food. If it happening at the high speed than also there are atleast 3 primary causes which can be fixed easily. But honestly speaking if these are not among the primary causes then there could be multiple serious causes and very hard to and costiler to fix them. Let me do a detailed research on it and will make a video in sometime. BTW, is this your Jimny which is facing high speed steering wobble during braking? Also, not sure reason for clutch changes. Is there any highlighted cause or known issue?
@sachinsharma-ri8uj2 ай бұрын
@@MashofreaksAuto Yes it happens to me once in a while. I know few other owners in Delhi who are facing this. @MashofreaksAuto2 ай бұрын
Yes, you have full rights to save your money wherever it is possible, Jimny is primarily an off-road vehicle which does not mean it is bad in other departments. I would suggest not comparing it with other hatchback or sedans. It is a rugged vehicle and has a different class. MSIL cars are known for lower maintenance but being it is 4x4 it needs little more but way better than many other 4x4 cars in terms of maintenance. Tell me what are 4-5 reasons why at all you are considering this if you have so many dislikes about it and you are not off-roader at all?
@RnR10012 ай бұрын
@ash9x9 the question asking why you want a 4x4 says that Jimny isn't what you are looking for. You buy a Jimny for its capability (whether you use it or not). I recently gave my Baleno and bought a Jimny. I understand that it is a compromise. But it's compromise that I have decided to live with.
