can someone tell me that the overhand pass by Adrian on 1:00 is legal or not legal. I always been taught that you can only overhand pass if it's a hard driven ball.

thank you so much. I played in a beach tournament in chicago once and they keep calling me on over hand pass when it was a clean. When the other side gave a free ball they told us to stop playing. which was weird. so I thought it was like a California thing.

Legal. The set has to be *clean* and *square* . It is just like any other hand set in beach.. Which is essentially what he did.

@@charlesusc A set doesn't have to be square anything. You can set whatever direction you want as long as it is clean. However if you set it over the net on purpose as an attack then it has to be square. But that is the only situation you have to square up when setting.
