I really hoped that this war against the Phyrexians would be in a block like the old days… seems like a wasted opportunity not doing a set invading, for example 2 worlds or 3 instead of every one of them. More cool legendary creatures, healthy lore and a good ending bc they would have a lot of time to think what to do about it.

I think it'd be hilarious if they compleated a bunch of pushovers during the day, but compleation didn't transition over the night, and a bunch of little psychopaths tear apart the invasion from the inside and Jin ends up quarantining the plane rather than making further attempts

Listening to Jin-Gitaxias analyzing the plane of Lorwyn, I can't help but wonder how Phyrexians think both in their own language and about the languages of other civilizations. Are they disgusted by the sound of the words "Lorwyn" or "Kithkin"? Would they give the plane a different name according to their own conventions? I'm not entirely sure Jin would condemn the arrogance and selfishness of Lorwyn's elves as "disgusting traits". Maybe he would praise them for their drive to dominate and control. Or rather, given his supposedly analytic mind, he would see neither good nor bad - merely something to exploit. Pretty cool idea to get inside Phyrexia's many morbid heads :)

Lorwyn such a rich plane with unique creatures, story, ART!!!!!!!, the first set that introduced us to planeswalkers. I started playing MTG during Lorwyn, if we comeback to lorwyn heck i will spend a lot of money to the nostalgia. During that time i ran kithkin tribe deck it was fun

I really thought Elesh Norn would have sent her 4 praetors to each conquer a world so Phyrexia (the plane) would be hers alone. Really would have let each colour sink it's hooks into a single world. Urabrask on Amonkhet would have been AWESOME! He shows up, slaughters zombies and offers the living survivors the chance to be upgraded. Hazoret is a red god, it would have worked perfect. Jin Gitaxis could have gone to any tech based world. Kaladesh would have been a way to go back and do energy properly for example. Sheoldred could have brought scifi horror to innistrad. Vorinclex could have have gone to Ixalan/Ikoria/Tarkir.

Oona is key to compleating Llorwyn/Shadowmoor. Corrupting her is fairly easy: entice her faeries, compleat her faeries, they return to Oona and corrupt her. Bonus points if they first corrupt the planeswalker Ashiok because then they could corrupt the dreams Oona's faeries harvest and let those dark dreams seep into the Queen of the Fae. The most serious threats to Phyrexia on the plane are the Elementals and the Giants and to an extent the Treefolk. The elementals have both passion and despair that would make them reckless in resistance. The Giants are creatures of tradition, memory, and power - they would resist such domination. The Treefolk are wise enough to resist Phyrexia, but their more ambitious members might be easy to corrupt. Sadly, I think the kithkin mental connections would make them more easy to convert to Phyrexia and would more easily spread the corruption. The Llorwyn Elves might embrace Phyrexia as a means to perfection, while the Shadowmoor Elves seem likeliest to die first. As for the Merfolk? Who knows? They'll probably be corrupted by their selfishness.

Hmm... the Aurora switch on Lorwyn is VERY powerful. I can see compleation staying true over both phases, but the "dominion" of phyrexian mindset might get overwriten.

I love lorwyn and shadowmoor, it would be far more interesting to see the planes fighting off phyrexia like on shadowmoor elves are far more evil than the rest, or giants as arbiters and merfolk thieves, compared to eldraine where I expect a massive war and all the fantasy tropes to be warped

I just dont really see how Lorwyn would stand any chance against the phyrexians. There are not too many prominent means of defense that I can identify other than a few instances of magic used by the fae and kithkin. The rest of the plane would be rolled over rather quickly in my opinion.
