Jinhao x350 Fountain Pen | My First Impressions

I bought one of these when they first came out. The nib was just fine without the scratchy and catchy that you got. Otherwise, it was/is...... fine. I think of it (and the newer x850) as just upgrades (twist on cap) to the x450 and x750. It's a good pen, but there are certainly much more exciting options out there.

That was a nice review Gary. It seems to be a nice enough all around workhorse kind of pen, but for me it's easy to pass up getting one. It would only get neglected as I would pick up my Wing Sung/Junlai 630. With that one I prefer the cigar shape over the flattop version.

The 630 is a very nice pen. I think this pen gives a nice affordable introduction to fountain pens.

I am quite pleased with my x350. I got it last month and with an EF Jinao nib that is surprisingly smooth. I love how understated and classy it looks, yet still minimal (compared to x159 and such).

I do love the affordable pens that jinhao come out with, and they have such a wide selection.

Is that a #5 nib? It does seem like a Fine nib rather than Medium. Like you said it is not great but it is also not horrible. As mentioned perhaps you could do a comparison video of all the X models. I think that would be of interest to me and many others. Great first impressions, Garry.

Hi, yeah they will be starting again. As a result of the issue I had I am not sleeping very well at the moment, so I want to stabilise my sleep otherwise I'd be likely to come over as incoherent. I may try a short one next week (2 June I think), but it depends on how my sleep goes this week.

I wonder how this compares to the Jinhao X450 or X750? Looks very similar.

It is really similar. It has more of a straight body, slightly slimmer and has a screw on cap instead of snap on. The x350, x450, x750 & x850 are all very, very similar. The term "brothers and sisters" would be very applicable here.

I am still hesitant to buy this pen. I want to know whether the black coat is durable in hot and humid weather. I request jinhao to make rasin based body instead of brass body.

Oh no another numbered Chinese pen. Have you thought of getting as many of these numbered pens together and showing us their differences? I have several and truthfully have difficulty keeping them all straight especially their nib sizes since they don't label them except they all are made of 14 k Chinese gold. Ha.
