Sadly, kasi some of the Philippine history is watered down or at worst not discussed in early education classes. What Japanese did to Koreans is horrible in the same breath as our colonizers have done to us as well. Some Filipinos just became ignorant or apathetic to these. It's not about moving on and forgiving easily it is about not forgetting.

I also attended elementary in Phil & I remember our teacher in 5th or 6th grade told us horrible stories during the Japanese invasion, how they raped many Filipinas tortured Filipinos, there was even a “Ma-ala ala mo kaya” drama series about it.. actress was Lorna Tolentino she was the product of Japanese soldier who raped a Filipina woman several times. I have another question about the school system in Phil because I know they always try to follow the system here in the US. Are they still teaching cursive writing?
