my guess it was because the incandescent stacking was a bit undertuned. Take for example 20s for a typical rotation, it may be impossible to squeeze out even 20 stacks under the old kit. Don't view the maximum incandescent stacks as indicator of her normal dmg output. Unless you reach her S2, then she would be broken.

I think the S2 only work if the team is not in battle mode, if she just gets full stack by being swapped out for 4s, her S3 is useless. About the stack, the 1 stack per 3s (1s with buff) limit only works on single dmg type, so if a character can do two types of dmg in 1 instance, it's considered 2 stacks. Some possible options are using Jue, Tambourinist as echo, or pop Mortefi's RL and use the other character to hit.

@@BBoya2010 there is no way sequence chain would only work outside of combat. It does imply it would work for the purpose of being in combat. That's probably also the reason why they increase the cap of stacks to 50 from 40. S2 just say you get 40 stacks, so that leaves youto build 10 stacks to cap out every 4s.

From the new leak footage of jinhsi's animation, her S2 will give you full 50 stacks, but she MUST be on the field AND NOT in combat for 4sec. Pretty much only useful at the start of TOA or in overworld.

Seems like there's alot of confusion about her S2 and different translations. We will need to see how it works but I highly doubt they would make it not work in combat. My guess is it allows you to still run mono/flexible teams and not have to worry about stacks.

@@r.d.6290 There was one direct nerf, and an inderect one: 1) his damage multipliers were reduced pretty much across the board (by something between 10% and 20%, I think) 2) during cbt2, whether it was intentional or due to a bug, all outro skill buffs would stay even if you swaped a character out. So you could quick-swap out of Calcharo every time he started an attack with longer animations, (such as death messenger) and then get back to him and still keep Yinlin's outro buff. The optmal way to play him in cbt2 involved buffing him with Yinlin's outro skill, and then using a lot of quick-swaps between the two. This increases both the team's damage and survivability (since attacks with a longer animation leave Calcharo exposed.) Now, it's better to stay with Calcharo on the field until his full rotation is over, or else Yinlin's outro will go to waste. If you don't use quick-swaps too often, the nerfs are relatively minor, and won't affect his playstyle. If you like to quick-swap a lot, this is a big nerf, and makes him feel clunkier to play on top of the reduced damage output and survivability.

the thing is with Changli vs Jinhsi is that Jinhsi's multipliers were much worse than Changli's prior to the skill dmg bonus from her weapon and Jué and forte circuit changes. Changli will still do an insane amount of damage despite not having been buffed along with Jinhsi in this change, so I honestly don't think it's that bad. I'm a Changli enjoyer and not a Jinhsi enjoyer so I'd say that my opinion is pretty unbiased on this considering I'm pulling for Changli and still can acknowledge Jinhsi's flaws prior to this nerf

People still don't understand how they work, Jinhsi has a fixed 10 second rotation and you have to use her entire kit in that period of time and swap out but Changli is different, she has infinity uptime if you want to and that's why she didn't get buffed at all cuz she already deals a lot of damage and can be on field more time than Jinshi so the gap get closer in terms of damage, Jinshi will have the best short rotation in terms of damage by a significant amount compare to Jiyan who also has a 10 second rotation, in some situation Changli could be better especially playing solo her against hologram

Remember she has defense ignore and defense ignore is way stronger than any form of damage buff because of how damage scaling works. Her stacks in the kit depend on different element damage - so verina is not the one you want to team Jinshi with. Yinlin will greatly help with AoE intro skill, while Jinxin with high ER will be able to pull enemies very often with both intro skill and resonance liberation + she can be a missing healer in the team (somewhat) and have moonlit kit for extra dmg for Jinshi

Idk if I miscalculated but from my calculation, with all skill at lvl 1, after the buff, Jinhsi with full stacks and Liberation just barely does at much dmg as Jiyan during his 10s Qingloong mode (no Resonance skill). I think she got buffed because she was underperforming, not because they want her to powercreep.

Her Forte does a lot of dmg, so you would want to have full dmg deepen buff when the Forte hits, meaning no swap cancel should be done and she is vulnerable during Forte. Same logic for the anti interuption in Sequence 1. But I hope they keep the crit rate buff in weapon, the atk buff seems unnecessary.

But base from her kit alone its a one instance skill hit(not 'one' hit but i meant the multiple hits are in one hit instance) meaning you might actually can swap cancel her forte just like yinlin or encore and while still have her buff up in her inherit buff. This defeats the point of making you vulnerable while you are doing special skill, kind of like you can do quick swap on the impermanence heron holding mode to deal multiple coordinated attack. I doubt they make her unable to swap during her one animation special skill attack. Just my take tho, plus i dont think the deepen buff you are saying will cancel since ik taoqi's buff cant be swapped, but then changli's forte is the last thing you would wanna hit before swapping anyway

Eh, Rover, Sanua, Yangyang already running sword for me. I'm glad to get a broadsword user who can finally use all those mats. I actually pulled Calcharo in the beginner random banner but never built him. Was planning Encore all along. It's kind of nice having a Havoc/Fusion group to start. Dreadmane is an easy and plentiful farm. Both groups only use Rectifiers and Swords so that was easy as well.

changli is a main dps with sub dps capabilities, and in the same sense she’s a sub dps with main dps capabilities. To make it easier, you can think of her as a fusion yinlin. She’s gonna be good wherever you put her on her team (other than healer).

She’s basically fusion yinlin. Primarily sub dps (does good dmg and buffs incoming resonator’s fusion damage by 20% and their liberation dmg by 25%, same as yinlin) but can get cracked with multiple sequences and change into main dps (again, same as yinlin)

The reason Yinlin's sub dps role is so strong is because of her off field damage that other characters can proc, Changli does not have off field damage and wants alot more field time than her. She also constantly buffs her own damage while using her kit. She is primarily a main dps. The only sub dps aspect of her kit is her outro which is just a bonus.

She basically functions best in a double DPS comp where you cycle between two characters to mitigate their respective downtimes without sacrificing damage. If you pair her with Encore, the latter will function as a quickswap nuker using her Forte buffed by Changli's outro. Changli will have more fieldtime.

No jinshi needs to be a powerhouse, as the only (real) 5* spectro dps and lore wise she's meant to be powerful think like archons from Genshin. It would be silly for them not to make her a powerhouse sucks for us changli lovers but these are great changes.

@@cshiro5875 archons are inherently different than magistrates. Archons are basically gods. Magistrates are just in authority. They come and go, appointed by jue and lose office. It’s more of a political position than anything. Jinshi is not immortal and has a normal human lifespan. She is just the leader of a city. Changli is actually much higher in political power than jinshi. And was the former magistrate

Changli was never meant to be stronger than jinshi as Changli seems to be a "sub-dps" due to her outro skill, either way, I still prefer changli, I prefer her gameplay, and I got Encore to pair her with which is perfect
