It is a lyrics video, but one of the best lyrics videos that has ever been created. IMO they should use that video to teach people how to do lyrics videos cuz dammmm - though it helps that the song has something to say, so the lyrics video can drive that point home, which is what makes it so good.

Fun reaction. The guitar and bass playthroughs are great too. Wish they had a drum playthrough of this song. This is kinda easy for her. She's singing 1 song, not a full headlining set. Yesterday and the day before she didn't also sing full sets, and she doesn't have to save her voice to sing full sets tomorrow and the next day - they typically did at least 3 and sometimes as many as 5 shows in a row when they toured North America last year, doing 42 shows in 60 days. That said, her vocal instincts are just insane. I've frequently been frustrated with live recordings of songs where a singer tries to change a song up for the live show and it is just sounds dumb. But Tatiana frequently changes stuff up a bit because she gets bored, and does the growls totally different in every show, but it always sounds great. Sometimes it isn't as great as another version, but then there are epic things she has done in just one show that I've never seen her do again in any other video. Eugene says she improvised most of the recordings on Macro. Her version was less charitable, saying "I wasn't prepared" (in her defense, they recorded the album in between tours in a year that they did 152 shows on several continents).

I'm with you. "Best" is a highly subjective thing but Tatiana, Floor Jansen, and Diana Ankudinova all have unique aspects to their singing that put them at the top of my personal list. I just flat out enjoy her singing, in all of its flavors. Never cared for growls but I love them when she does them. Ditto for her screams, cleans, belts, etc. Her charisma doesn't hurt either.

I deal in politics and economics so I seek this out to put life back on my soul and your reactions mirror mine and its a great release to see someone "get" Jinjer and Tatiana... Roman, Vlad, Eugene and all they are made of. From the goosebumps to the pure shock... And the respect to talent.. Ironically, Perennial is my favorite as well, followed VERY closely by Ape. Ya can tell in the official music video that the song is about passing judgment on someone eventually leads to your own punishment. Oh thank goodness they are fake, the thumbnail made me worry a bit. lol The one live in Melbourne is very good too (every song from that show is), and it is also a one take - like all live shows. And honestly, as much as I like this one take, I don't think the fact that it is a one take performance is really anything special when they had several hundred tours in the last couple years alone already. This is basically what they do all the time, at least until covid came along.
