I really respect Tatiana because its not easy express/think/write in a language that isn't your native, if you read or pay attention to jinjer's lyrics you'll see they are deep and serious and practically poetical. so even though she's not having a really healthy singing/screaming rutine, she's taking everything serious. I understand her point about knowing it's a woman screaming because of the high-pitched undertone. I try my best to sing as deep as possible and I really want to learn deathcore vocals. I love Tati's vocals and I love screaming along to Jinjer's songs, it's so inspirational!
@junkyardwillie83204 жыл бұрын
I don’t know, I actually kind of like the high overtones and higher pitch. Are used to dislike the sound of female screaming vocals, which I used to get a lot of crap for. You can’t deny biology, and the female voice is just different than a male’s, and the screams are usually different because of it. Lately however, it’s really been growing on me. The vocalist for this band, Courtney from Spirit box, there’s another woman who puts up covers on KZbin and I think has her own band but now I’m not remembering her name... I also love higher pitch screams in general, and many women can pull them off very well. I’m a guy with a lower voice, so higher screams for me are a bit difficult and I’m not a fan of the way mine sound. But your voice is unique to you, and that’s what’s special about it. I’m still getting comfortable with mine, but if you don’t have the sound you want it’s not the end of the world. It’s important not to try to force the sound that you simply cannot make, while also important to maybe try practicing the implementation of SAFE techniques that help you to sound the way you want. Other people usually end up liking your voice more than you do. You just have to get comfortable with it
@junkyardwillie83204 жыл бұрын
It’s also important to learn to work with what you have. If you can’t achieve the exact sound you’re looking for, I bet you could still make something that sounds great with your own unique style and voice

Tatiana, I love your authenticity! You seem like a real person, rather than most celebrities who feel they have to maintain some image, you are just you doing what you like to do, it's so refreshing! What you said about the right amount of practice, it's true of anything, even exercise, there is a benefit to long practice sessions over shorter sessions that add up to more time, but short practices are necessary sometimes to stay in touch with your form without needing to push all the time, and either way you need down time to rest. You can practice too much, and you can rest too much. Finding that balanced zone is the key to mastering anything, whether you are learning fundamentals or exploring new techniques. Thank you so much for sharing with us.

Tatiana, you do a terrific job with your voice! And I like it that you are so critical about that despite doing a great job. That, I think, is the reason for reaching such a quality. And, yes, your lyrics ARE phenomenal! I like that you never sing shitty stuff about some guys you love and who are bad and relationship is difficult: You know that type of lyrics you hear from everybody else! Even your only "love song" isn`t really one and is more critizing the stupidity of wannabe lovers. No, your lyrics are poems with deep meanings, often philosophical. I don`t like the term "death metal" and Jinjer is not in my eyes. Death is about giving up, Jinjer is about standing up, fighting back. So I would name Jinjer a "life metal" band! Keep on doing whatever you like, I think it will be phenomenal anyway! 🙂 🤘
