Fun reaction and great analysis. 3 favorite Jinjer songs: They just released a live performance video for Teacher Teacher live in Melbourne, which is fire. Who Is Gonna Be The One is my favorite song by any band. Perennial is a beautifully brutal piece about how Tatiana's chronic depression gets worse in the winter as nature dies, and the live at Wacken Open Air performance is fire. Cheers!

There is no way to pick three favorite songs from Jinjer. They are all great. But here's 3 -Scissors -Who is gonna be the one -Bad water

If you want to dive deep into the lyrics try Jinjer Retrospective. Theyre from Eastern Ukraine where the fighting is and had to leave and move east but their families are still in the east. So the song is about worrying about them and not being able to see them while theyre on the road and even when they are back in Ukraine still cant go see them because of the war.

She grew up like me listening to great bands like MuDvAyNe. Thats where her and the entire band got a lot of inspiration. If you wanna check out Mudvayne check out Not Falling. Its a good intro to them. Make sure to do the full track because 99% of Mudvayne videos edit parts out.

Tatiana has said she is a fan of Rap and Hip-hop and she takes a lot of inspiration from those genres, but up until now I didn't really see a lot of those influences in their music besides the obvious Teacher Teacher. It wasn't until just now when you read the lyrics out like that that I realized those influences run deeper than just rapping lyrics or singing with spoken word; she reflects those influences in her wold choice, her sentence structure, her attitude, her delivery and the way she tells the story. Lots of her vocals sound the way they do because of these influences even if she is not actually rapping in the song. Another good example is Words of Wisdom, even though there are fast drums, loud guitars and growls, the lyrical rhythm definitely comes from a hip-hop background.

First of all i never heard from the 4 agreements... I gotta say these are some rules i could follow. Don't know where they are from and who made them and i really don't want to know but thats some fine ideas. Now back to the music. Call my music taste weird but i really dig the way jinjer writes their song structures. I am all here for these dynamic transitions. Like this song has 3 different genres in one song. Its reggae, punk rock and death metal all three of which i could listen to on their own but they would only be half as interesting in my opinion. My three songs are: "Exposed as a liar" "Home back" "Baggers dance"
@thatdudelewci12664 жыл бұрын
Bro. The 4 agreements aren't rules. They are agreements that you make with yourself to improve yourself and your life. I know you said you didn't want to know but the more you know the better off you are.
@Skurian_krotesk4 жыл бұрын
@@thatdudelewci1266 well rules or agreements. Doesn't make too much of a difference for me. If i want to live by a standard of moral correctness and i have a system to follow in order to keep track of the righteousness of my actions then i want to be relatively strict about it so rules would be the right name for them in my opinion. If i am unable to follow them i don't follow them in the first place and if i get to have a day off and break them without consequences then i am not doing it right. Thats the thing about the ten commandments. I don't follow them because i know i just can't. And i won't follow a guideline which i am unable to fully accept. I think morals are subjective. So if you have a set of mkrals you can follow does not mean that i can follow the same thing without a problem and that is completely fine i just have to find the right way for me. Thats the important part.

The band's name was created by the original members of the band. But none of the current members of the band were in the band when it was created. All of the original band members eventually left. They couldn't really come up with a different name so they just stuck with Jinjer. So not even the band knows what the name means or why it was chosen. Also Eugene (Bass Player) has said in an interview that he actually doesn't like the name that much. I personally think the name is fine. Korn is another band that thought their name is weird. I mean Korn is kind of a dumb name for a band. But they also said that they didn't care because if the music is dope then it makes the name cooler.

That's dope as fuck bro! Dizzy Wright is the truth. I'm a metalhead through and through fam, but I fuck with most independent rappers because they actually speak on some shit. I can't stand the trash they play on the radio nowadays man. Most rap on the radio teaches the younger generations how to act and be whores or that selling drugs and getting money is the only things this life has to offer. Completely incorrect! I refuse to refer anyone to listen to that garbage. Anyways, sorry the rant fam! I hope you havin a blessed day! Take care out there!

For context these guys are from the Ukraine and were domestic refugees during the Russian appropriation of the Crimea in around 2016. The ethnic Russian (perhaps some Ukrainian) attitude is criticised for being dour and rigid. Remember that these guys would've been born into or just after the collapse of the USSR. Wanting to break out of the rigid culture, find your individuality, being kind is a good thing - goodness and love. :)

The band name doesn't have any meaning as far as any of the current members know. That growl is not really something that you just find out you can do, you have to make it happen, like riding a bike. She didn't just realize one day she could do it, she decided she wanted to do it and started practicing relentlessly...for years. When she eventually started doing it professionally she still continued to refine her skills through practice. She started when she was a teenager and she sang in 7 or 8 bands before settling in to Jinjer, so right from the beginning of her chapter in the band she was really good and well experienced, but she has only gotten better from that point ~10 years ago.
