Liked the video, but I got something special from an artist you have done recently. I have something very special for you to listen to, it is Angelina Jordan at 10 years old. it is a demo she did for the dong I'm Still Holding Out for You. The song was leaked a few years ago and a fan mad a lyrics video for it. The link is: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eqebnp15nZqcn6c Please remember she was 10 or to be more accurate she recorded it a week before her 11th birthday. Once you hear the song you will understand why I keep saying her age. The original song writer is called Baby Fuzz and he did record it a couple of years after she did the demo. You can find his version on KZbin. but her version hits different and will move you. Also, the fan allows the video to be played without copywrite strikes so you can play it all the way without stopping but I have only seen a few people do so because the song is so moving. You will thank me for this. kzbin.info/www/bejne/eqebnp15nZqcn6c

Tatiana has stage presence by the truckloads. Her singing and performance is her outlet and escape from what's going on at home. Her and most of the band are from the border regions of Ukraine. They grew up in war and misery. Plenty of their lyrics are about what they lived through.

"an woman doing this..." will be (if not already is) an old-fashion saying thanks to Angela, Alissa, Tatiana, Courtney, Fernanda Lira, Diva Satanica, Aline Lodi, and many others. Womens are well capable to do it growls, gutturals, harsh vocals equally or even better than any man around. To be honest, many of the quoted ones above are already doing way better than many guys around in the metal scene.

Perennial live at Wacken has a lot of great technical clean singing technique. On The Top live in Kyiv has awesome belting and emotional expression both vocally and in her on stage performance. Less ideal for what you do, but the video for their song Home Back about their hometown being caught in the 2014 war is even more powerful today. It is rare to see an anti-war work from the perspective of ordinary people from a war zone.

As a stage performance coach you could be even more interested to see some Jinjer live performances. Jinjer are known as a great live performers. They made few hundreds concerts in a year before the pandemic, it's a very, very experienced live performing band. Tatiana has many strong features. But as for me her strongest feature is her stage presence. She's a world class performer, one of the best in metal nowdays. You could find many great live performances of this band. My personal favourite performance is "Who's gonna be the one". But it's a song where Tatiana is mostly growling so you'd probably don't like it. Perennial is a more calm song.

Booyah! is the sound effect for something being forced onto someone... like an "in your face" sentiment. Also, its Tatiana's nickname. Look up one of her old bands beforr Jinjer, "The Kodry" - some of their Nirvana covers are interesting and perhaps a small glimpse into the future from the past 😉

My heart is Jinjir and the people of the Ukraine. I missed the opportunity to see them perform in San Diego - October 29th. They are really one of the very best and tightest bands ever. I was in SD for my husbands cancer treatment. We really wanted to go. Treatments were working but something else happened and he died. I wish I would have gone to the concert. i would have had one good memory of that time. I'm hoping that the people of the Ukraine can begin having good memories again.

The cat's name is Mr. Pepino and it's Alex Lopez (her husband)'s cat. This one-take was recorded at his house when half of the band (Tatiana and Eugene, the bass player) was "stuck" in LA because of the lockdown and the difficulty to fly back home. It was released to commemorate one year of the release of this song. 🙂

Hi Janet! ✨😊 Totally agree with you on this - the reggae part was so lovely and powerful - and the metal growling was more astonishing than nice(?). I've heard Jinjer a couple times before, and still can't figure out how she goes back and forth like that without pulling a diaphragm muscle or something worse! Haha 🤣 It's pretty impressive really - just not my fav type of music. But from a performance perspective - she's certainly into it completely! And her cat is totally cool! 😸 Have a great weekend, my friend! xo PS. You did a really good job on the sponsor support part of this vid. 👏🥰
